A book about college

This leaves it pretty wide open! I can't remember any titles of books I've read that would fulfill this prompt... But I have wanted to read Missoula: Rape and the Justice System in a College Town by Jon Krakauer for years... My husband researched sexual assault/aggression on college campuses in completing his Ph.D. research. Alcohol is almost always involved...

Lists that might help:
Campus Days
Books About College Life
Best Fiction Set in Academia
Study Abroad
College Sports Romance
College Romance
A College Romance
University Mysteries

Listopia: A book about college

Laura Ruth Loomis | 358 comments This is one where I feel like I'll probably stumble across one. Missoula: Rape and the Justice System in a College Town was depressing but very informative.

I just read a queer fantasy rom-com, The Entanglement of Rival Wizards, set in a university in present-day Philadelphia.

Laura Ruth Loomis | 358 comments Terry Pratchett's Discworld books include two about the Unseen University:

Unseen Academicals
The Last Continent

Chrissy | 390 comments David Lodge wrote some funny satire of university life, though probably dated.

Rose W | 135 comments Someone put Liliana's Invincible Summer: A Sister's Search for Justice on the listopia. Can anyone confirm it fits? I don't see mention of college in the description but this one is on my TBR and I don't have anything slated for this prompt yet....

Ellen Marcolongo | 92 comments I'm going to read Stoner by John Williams by John Williams

I assumed it would make me angry and sad...

Although some of those books are not set in college-level institutions...

I've been thinking I should read The Idiot for a few years now, and this might be the perfect time.

If I find that's too heavy for me, I can switch to one of Emma Lord's college books, like Begin Again or The Rival

Denise | 413 comments There should be a lot of great choices for this :) I added Fangirl and Circle of Friends to the list.

Do you think you'd include a book about a Cambridge professor who is out on the field doing research? In that case, you could include Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries.

I already had Katabasis on my TBR list, so I'll read that one.

I read this book last month. Most of the narrative recounts Liliana's time in college.

Some of the ones set in high schools might work for teen angst.

Ira | 35 comments I read The Eights this year that counts for this prompt.

Thanks for the recommendation, Ira. This book looks really interesting and fills an unfilled prompt for me.
