This will be my first time, I’ve always focused more on GH’s romances and have read very few of her mysteries. Looking forward to it!

I read it for the first time 2 weeks ago and that map would have really come in handy!

I reread this one in October, and listened to the audiobook. I normally just listen to a Heyer for third (or fourth or fifth…) reread, but this one (view spoiler)[felt much more like one of those dreaded timetable Golden Age Mysteries, popular at the time but highly reliant on map of location, who arrived where at what time, etc. I always appreciate the humor of Hemingway and the quirky witnesses he interviews, but this time the rest of the book was more of a slog, I admit… (hide spoiler)]

I read it, reviewed it and promptly forgot all about it so I'll have to see if I can get it and read it again.

I abandoned it the first time I tried to read it. I want to give it another try.

I just started it. It's my first read. After the first two chapters my head was spinning with all the characters that were introduced but I'm enjoying it.

I abandoned this one years ago as well… can’t remember why but I’m willing to give it another try.

this is why I enjoy these book more on re-reads, I just struggle when I first try to remember all these characters!

this is another one I would ideally READ it first, and THEN listen to the audio book for maximum enjoyment

I've gotten into the swing of it now and once I had who's who in my head I really started to enjoy the story.

This will be a first for me, as this is the One & Only remaining GH book for me to read. Thanks for the map, Sabagrey.

Thank you for the map, Sabagrey! Has anyone found the audiobook on YouTube? I’ve only found the first few chapters.

I really enjoy it! Very much Agatha Christie Style and this post WW II feeling, just reading yesterday about Polish Post WW II feelings, nice to meet a Pole in this mystery. The audiobook is wonderful.

I feel bad for not finishing. Life got in the way, and I might try again before the end of Nov. Mela, it makes me feel better that I’m not the only one - did you like it better this time through?
