Till the end of chapter 3 (I'm on audiobook so unfortunately no page count but should be late enough in the schedule not to spoil anything.)
An intriguing premise, both Olivia and Vincent have a lot of questions to work through. I'm guessing with Vincents diagnosis his memory will be the hardest to figure out but Olivia herself was only a child when she found out about her families history and it will be interesting to see how much that kind of remembering can be trusted.
The idea of Olivia being cancelled while being accused of trying to cancel another author seems unfortunately very timely and the way she was hit financially must be especially grating considering the circumstances of the incident with the other author.
Chapter 4 to 10I currently cannot see any way to get to a solution of the murder mystery that can be believable considering that both Vincent and Olivia have such holes in their memories. I'm not even sure if solving it is really gonna be the point of the story.
Olivia definitely missed the right point in time to tell Tom where she came from but its good that she has people like Jack on her side who might aid her in these more personal matters, if only she will let them.
Also I can't help but feel sorry for both Olivia and Vincent at this point, there is clearly so much unprocessed emotion in both their childhoods that neither one of them ever really had the chance to work through.
Chapter 11 to 19Adding Poppys POV adds another layer to the intrigue, it will probably show later on why her specifically and not for example Danny or someone with an outside view.
As creepy as Vincents jealousy issues are considering he was just a teenager the way the teacher acted around Lydia was weird, icky and shady.
Which also leads to an interesting connection between Poppys activism for womens rights and Lydias rumored teenage pregnancy, as that seems like one of the catalysts to the catastrophe in the middle of this story.
While Olivias interest in the male author trying to insert himself into the writing of Vincents book is understandable it also feels like her trying to avoid having to focus on the issues right in front of her.
Up to chapter 11 - why do I feel like Danny having killed poppy seems to convenient..enjoying the narrative so far!
Finished this - I enjoyed it overall but did feel like the big twist was predictable (at least to me) from too early on!I did feel the writing was very engaging throughout
I also finished and I really enjoyed getting to the ending and finding out the solution for the murders. It was well done the way the story developed dropping the various clues on figuring out how both the victims as well as the perpetrators and the solution to the murders made sense in the way the development of hints and revelations was written throughout the story.
