Bonnie | 748 comments I've actually been adding these to my tbr shelf since I finished 2025 challenge. I like series books lately (characters and settings I know.) I picked either the next in the series I'm reading or the first in a new to me series. Mostly fantasy, but a few mystery/historic. Looking forward to starting these.

Twelve

Who Will Remember
The Lady of the Rivers
Marble Hall Murders
The Hallmarked Man
Conform
The Impossible Fortune
The Scions of Shannara
Queen Demon
Twelve Months
The Black Wolf
The Secret Commonwealth
Empire of Storms

Plus 4
The Cloud Roads
This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me
Blackbringer
Out of Oz

I'm pretty happy with this list, but may change one or two if I happen to read/listen to them before January.

Oh, you already updated; and with some great selections. I'm reading Battle Ground right now and enjoying it.

Good luck and happy reading, Bonnie.

I think I've read most of them, but so many were before I was Goodreads tracking and when I was buying mostly paperbacks from a used bookstore I loved, so not in order. I did like (and rate) Battleground though.

Linette | 187 comments Looks like we both enjoy mystery and fantasy genres :)
I have read and loved several on your list - Marble Hall Murders, The Impossible Fortune, The Black Wolf - and have read many in several of the other series listed. But the one I loved most was Cloud Roads - I wish I could read that series for the first time again, I wish she would write more from that world. I hope you enjoy it just as much!

Some authors I really like, Bonnie, like Butcher, Wells and some I want to try as well. I have enjoyed the Horowitz TV series and have some books on my shelf. Good luck.

I read The Lady Of The Rivers years ago, it wasn't my favourite in the series but still good.
I have the Throne Of Glass series to start - only finished the ACOTAR series over the summer this year.

thanks- some of the newer ones were series I've read for so long- most loved or liked, with a few not so much.

It's my first- I have a friend who loves the Tudor books/history and she recommended I try them. I jumped back into Sarah Maas during banned books week, though tbh I'm old and have to skim/skip some of the graphic sex/violence, I found I still loved the storylines.
