Bʀɪᴇғ Cʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀ Dᴇsᴄʀɪᴘᴛɪᴏɴ: With the permission of moderators, it would be part of my plan to make a slight addition to the abilities of a person with control over this element, which would be to make it possible for the character to travel through shadows, a sort of teleportation that I have come to fondly call Shadow Walking. In previous groups where the control of some element was involved, I have created characters with abilities such as the manipulation of darkness. If this isn’t acceptable, forget I mentioned it. If it were approved, however, it would be added to my character’s background. As a child, she would have unwittingly used her ability and fallen into the shadows, only to find herself far away from home, forced to survive on her own.
Regardless of all that, I would plan to use Jocelyn as a political tool, if you will. With her ability to become a shadow, she would easily be able to sneak into places she wasn’t supposed to be. In her past, she would have been intercepted by a person of high standing, unsurprisingly someone corrupt who had discovered her ability and decided to use it to their advantage. She would become their spy, eavesdropping on powerful beings, learning secrets at private rendezvous and bringing back information to her master/mistress so they could then use this information for personal advancement and/or blackmail. Jocelyn would follow orders dutifully, though it would tug at her conscience, knowing what she was doing wasn’t right, though forced to stick with the profession for some reason I haven’t quite thought of yet…
A possible weakness for the character would be that while she has generally mastered her ability, she fears that one day if she turns herself into a shadow, she may never be able to turn herself back and she will disappear forever. Or, on similar lines, if the Shadow Walking is approved, she could fear slipping into the shadows and never coming out, again, effectively becoming nonexistent.

On paper, she's nothing special, just about average on tests and things. But when it comes to how things work, she's a genius, driven by her own curiosity. She can improve almost any kind of machine, and she's always inventing little things with gears and her own electricity. Around people she's friendly, but awkward. She doesn't know how to treat them, or what to do with them. She doesn't have anything against them, except for the fact that they're not machines.

He's also much of a recluse and enjoys spending more of his time in the forests then around actual people, but when forced to he will make casual conversation. Along with that he has an uncanny temper that's not provoked all that often, but is still there lying under his cool facade.

One night he tricked his masters son to freeing him from his room by making his voice sound like his masters, he knocked him out and ran away. But, in an attempt to flee the city, he was caught by the guards. Instead of being executed the king ordered him to be imprisoned and questioned about the others and where theyd be. He was constantly tortured and now resides in the prisons cells, always with a piece of cloth in his mouth preventing him from speaking. Hes been locked away for five years.

Ryanne is a solitary girl and the only time she's seen by the royal family is when court is in session. This makes it easy for her to keep her powers secret. When Ryanne is informed about the prophecy she doesn't know what she'll choose to do. Overthrow the king or overthrow the children of the prophecy. (Still thinking of an awesome storyline)

She smart, sneaky, and she can get herself out of just about anything. She's fierce and fearless, willing to do anything that she needs to do and more. She can be considered a little reckless at times because she tends to forget all her inhibitions as soon as she possibly can. However, as mentioned, she's an incredible actress and she can practically morph into another person, a much more innocent person, when need be.
She discovered who she was when she was only a child, though she hasn't really disclosed this with anyone. Her home caught fire in the night, or was set fire, and her entire family was killed and all her possessions lost. She should have died too, because the fire was inescapable from the room in which she slept, but she survived without a single burn. With no one to take her in she was forced onto the streets. However, when she found out about the prophecy she knew who she was and that she needed to do more. As a teen she got into the lives of the royals by becoming a maid. She has been doing her spying ever since.

Availability: I'm on almost all the time despite school and work. At the very least I can be on once a day, though it rarely comes to that.
