2015 Hub Reading Challenge discussion

Ida must have been a force of nature in her day! McCully traces her humble origins to her lofty days as an investigative journalist who blew open the story of how Standard Oil Company, owned by Rockefeller, manipulated the systems and made himself rich. while leaving the little man in poverty behind him.
Although it is well-written and thoroughly researched, I can't see my average sixth graders picking this up and sticking with it. It reads like a history book instead of a story.

I agree as well. It was a bit tough for me to get through this. Interesting, but a dry read.
