I think our first book should be a short, simple and easy read. That will make it easier to figure out this forum as we go. If the "dead" book fits this description, then I am all for it. If not lets all pitch in for suggestions. I don't mind re-reading a good book, so any thing is good for me :-)

How about this one?

Should be easy for everyone to get ahold of a copy as well as being an easy read (granted I listened as a book on tape) but it is not a complicated book.

Marsha | 6 comments I dunno MerD,it's about a adventure through Haiti(that part is alright) but w/ a deceased canine.
How about a kitty book?
I'll look for one, seems fitting that we should read a kitty book first.
Any other ideas?

Marsha | 6 comments Track of the Cat (Anna Pigeon Mysteries) ?
Something like that?

Sandi | 3 comments I was thinking about The Craggy Hole in My Heart and The Cat Who Fixed It by Geneen Roth. I haven't read it but want to. I have read some of her writing and find it enjoyable and I know cats have healing power.

Ginger (rainingwolf) | 2 comments So have we ever decided what book to read? There are lots of cat mysteries out there--Rita Mae Brown, Carole Nelson Douglas, Shirley Rousseu Murphy, and Lillian Jackson Braun to name a few...?

Also, what does it mean when someone "writes a story" about you on here? I keep getting these posts that say XXX wrote a story about you and asking me to approve it. Yet I can never find the story or what it means. Help?

Dorie (ladyduck) | 5 comments I too am wondering what book we are going to read. I might not be able to do it right now as at work we are getting ready for graduation and also the school is moving so were busy packing and I'm having meetings with the districts for next years teachings. It's been crazy!!
also what's up with the stories??
Peace

Karenopa | 1 comments Sure glad I'm not the only one in the dark here. I've been dealing with some on and off again computer glitches that are driving me to a wall and back..Not sure where that is but it's not good! I was curious about the story thing too. I thought I had it figured out but guess what....yah...I didn't...I'm too old to be such a rookie! Argh!

Ginger (rainingwolf) | 2 comments How about "Chicken Soup For the Dog & Cat Lovers Soul"? It's paperback, has short sections so it can be picked up and put down without losing anything...it's by Jack Canfield.

message 10: by Sandi (new)

Sandi | 3 comments That sounds good to me, Ginger. It should be easy to find, too. I think we should just go for it===all in favor say aye. :)

Ginny (gatakitty) | 1 comments I like this suggestion, Ginger. I had stayed quiet up until now because I think I am the only person in the world who hates mystery novels. I am glad to see a non-mystery suggested.
