Claere (omenonwings) | 36 comments The Lord of The Rings!!! My absolute favorite!!! It's like N.O competition. I also LOVE any books by Eoin Colfer. Artemis Fowl and The Supernaturalist are really good. I'm reading The Wish List right now.

Stacy Mantle (stacymantle) | 4 comments I'm assuming you mean animal-related books, right? In that cars, I'm largely biased - my favorite is "Conquering the Food Chain: Living Amongst Animals (without becoming one)"

Its a fun look at living with many different species. Its a compilation of short stories and can basically be read in a single sitting, but a lot of fun. (Rumor has it the electronic version will be available in a couple of weeks if you prefer hour Kindle/nook/reader)

If you love animals, you will love this book.

Carrie P (ilavalavamylibrary) My favorite dog book is "A Dog's Purpose" by Bruce Cameron & anything written by Cesar Millan, Dog Whisperer, although I know his methods are controversial (but not if you think of him more as a dog rehabber than trainer).

brooke1994 (formerlynarnian525) | 8 comments LOTR!

Diane Beaulaurier | 1 comments Merle's Door by Ted Kerasote is my very favorite book ever. I met Ted at a book signing where he showed a video he made as a memorial to Merle and it was incredible. Ted is a wonderful human being who cares so much about dogs and wants their quality of life to be the absolute best. He includes a great deal of scientific research in his books which I really appreciate. I have read all of his other books too and he is just a great writer on any topic he chooses to write about.

LOTR are the best movies, and the books are fantastic, my favorite when I was younger, now with so many great fantasy series by Brandon Sanderson, Brent Weeks, Mark Lawrence, Robin Hobb, hard to say... So many great books! I will need to look into the authors or series you mentioned.
