Team Edward discussion

I know that everyone fantasizes about what characters look like and are always disapointed when the movies are made... and I think that the young man playing Edward is attractive.. but I wanted him to be more fierce looking. He's not quite dangerous looking... but I like the swarthy ones... my hubby being one.

Oh my Gosh, Jess, I love you! HAHAHA... No, I was really disapointed when I found out a movie was in the works- I think YOU told me about it... but when I found out who was Edward, I was quite excited. He's not how I pictured E- but I think he'll do. Have you seen some of the movie trailers and MTV clips??? Dreamy... sigh....

I agree, he looks amazing in the mtv clips, and you even get to hear his American accent in one of the newer ones. It made ME swoon.

I think he's okay. Edward always seemed older even though he's not supposed to be. I do love that he has red hair... I do love me some red-head!

i kno this is kinda random, but what's the deal with Midnight Sun? is it giong to be after breaking dawn? cause i thought that was the last one. (please excuse my total obliviousness).

It's Edwards version if Twilight. It's a companion novel, not a continuation.

She said it was on the back burner so it might be a couple of years before she can really work on it and get it done. It's already really long and she's not half done. That makes me happy. I hope she hurries!

I found out about the Twilight movie coming out in December from another website, Transhonista and transfixed that date to memory...as far as who is playing Edward, I think he's very attractive but not as brooding as I thought he may look. He will do great, I'm sure. I love the You Tube trailers he's in..he's got me hooked, too ;) Sorry to be ignorant, but what have both the actor playing E and B done previously in their careers? They are not familiar.

Robert is best known for his Harry Potter role.

Kristen has been in more. She's had roles in Speak, Into the Wild, In the land of the woman, Jumper, and a few more.

In seeing the You Tube trailers, I noticed some of them are titled "Twilight/New Moon". Are they combining both books in the Twilight movie or are they slating seperate movies for both books?

Also, I noticed other actors in the trailers who are not part of the official movie cast. Are these trailers made by other people's creativity or are these actors who auditioned for the roles who did not make the cut?

Am I the only one on here who thinks the actor playing Jacob is a little hottie?

I hope they're not combining Twilight and New Moon, because that would mean they're changing a LOT. I hate when movies change a lot from the book.

And I think that they've got Edward's family all wrong. I don't like how Alice looks, or Esme, or Emmett, or Jasper...I think the only one with the right look is Rosalie.

I don't know about Carlisle and Emmett...the only one I think is about right is Rosalie. Grr, I hate Alice's hair...it makes her look punk or something. Jasper looks weird, and Esme...urgh.

I know what you mean. I thought of her as much more light, more delicate-looking. Not how they portray her.

Thanks for the feedback...Sella, Anna..hope they don't do combos, too. Then again, it would be nice to have another movie made if Twilight does well at the box office. I agree about how Alice looks. I pictured her with long hair, delicate features, like Rosalie, not a punk rocker. Jasper looks freaky. Emmet is how I pictured him. Esme, well, I should stop here ;) I wonder what Robert has planned after this is done filming. I would imagine the filming of this is completed already?

Same thing for Alice...I pictured her with long, flowing hair...and Jasper looks weird. :D

1) They are NOT combining the movies
2) People who have made videos with folks who are not casted in the movie are just being creative

4) and just a note, it's been said repeatedly that ALICE cullen has very short, spikey hair, because it was cut when she was a human in the insane asylum, and she was turned before it could grow back much.

i think that they did jacob ok... but i always imagined alice as more pixie-ish too!
(i think it's just cause stephie described her with a pixie hair cut when we first encounter alice, though... and the fact that she is short)

Even if they said Alice had short, spiky hair, I still imagined her with long, flowing hair. And Jacob..I imagined him more "wild."

I'm wondering if in the Twilight movie, after Edward introduces his family, that they'll all tell their stories of how they became vampires? This didnt happen in the book, I know, but movies always change sceens. Does anyone know?

Thanks, Kristina. Sometimes we write faster than the think, thus, some of our questions. Any idea as to what Robert's future projects he has coming down the pike? I guess only he knows that for sure.

He's in the process of doing two films that I know of.. Little Ashes and some movie about an artist.. Salvador Dali I believe its called. He did an Indie film that just came out, but I don't know the name. You could probably find his other projects or his future ones on a website like imbd

don't you just hate it when the movie people totally change the plot? like in the 5 harry potter movie, with cho and the DA!

I hate when they change the plot too. It's so stupid. At first, I didn't like Robert Pattinson.. at all. Now that I saw the trailer, he's ok. But still not the Edward I saw in my head.

I agree Maya. He's not the right Edward. I still think they could have chosen someone better.

And I know, I HATE it when they change the plot in movies!! I really, really hope that Twilight won't be as bad and messed-up as the Eragon movie was!!! Ugh.

i hate the eragon movie. and do you know in the teaser trailer at the end? i thought he ran out the door, right? well MTV, i think, has theses "twilight tuesdays" where they like give away the whole moves scene by scene so i hear, and it turns out he jumped out a WINDOW when he showed her his room and there was this tense silence. so he jumps out a window. i mean, okay? there's this really awkward silence with my girlfriend, so i just grab her and jump out a window???? helloooooo!!!
