I read Magic Burns week before last. Loved it. Very dark and interesting world. I like that magic has some serious consequences and repercussions. Kate is a great UF heroine. Curran was pretty yummy!

Oh I love the Beastlord, lol and yes i agree Kate is a great UF heroine. This is really a series that gets better with each book. it took me days to read the first book and I breezed through the others without a problem. The world building is excellent.

I found the first book very complicated, but I enjoyed it. I'm glad to hear the next books flow easier.

Yes they are so much better than the first but i guess with the world Ilona Andrews created the first would have to be complicated since it was introducing us to the world of Kate Daniels.

Good point. I do try to give the author some world-building room in the first story in the series.

Love this series--one of my top 5 fave UF/PNR series. Love Kate, she's kick ass & self-depreciating. And how can you not love the Beast Lord? Pleeeease.

And I love the snarky humor--the 3rd book had me literally LOLing in a couple spots. Can't wait for Magic Bleeds.
