For me to really enjoy a song, I want to know what it's about. But it's not always easy to decipher the meanings of some songs. Anyone else left scratching your head over a song's supposed meaning?

I bought PJ Harvey's "When Under Ether" because it's a beautiful song, but I wasn't sure if it was about abortion (don't judge me, I really don't want to listen to songs about that subject). But she's pretty ambivalent about the song's meaning when asked in interviews. Does anyone have any ideas about what this song is about?

Tube Snake Boogie by ZZ Top is actually about a pair of Surfboards. I'm not even kidding. Heard it from the band themselves.

Wither by Dream Theater is basicaly about writers block.
