Oh yes! I loved this one! It was so sweet! Kind of a Beauty and the Beast tale, except the setup is completely different and Aren's nothing like the fragile Beauty. I should reread it.

When I read this, from the cover I didn't expect much. And then it started so sweet turning sad almost immediately. And then her love interest was a surprise and it was surprising to me that I was rooting for them. I wish there was a sequel.
I think I am one of the few that didn't enjoy it that much. I liked the characters but everything felt so incredibly rushed for the entire book.
I would love more stories like this one. I didn't expect it to be so sweet either. Her other stories are not quite like that.
Just finished this. I loved it. I think I'm just a Patricia Briggs addict. I love her writing. This was an interesting, deep, but kind of fun in some ways, story.
I really liked this book a lot too Danielle. It grabbed me right from the start. I wish there was a #2 so we could see what happened between them.
I definitely think she could revisit that story, maybe about their kids or somehow related. Things aren't really settled with the magic coming back. I could see another book about it.

I do love her recent books, but surprisingly I did really enjoy the 1st book in the Raven series (although I still need to read the 2nd book). Maybe one day I will reread it and feel entirely different! Who knows?!
The Hob's Bargain? It's not her best. Weak plot development. Some threads left hanging, too. But sweet. And enjoyable. That Hob is a luv and Aren is like a prototype for Mercy.
I only gave it 2.5 stars, though. It would have been 3, except for one plot reversal that really bugged me. :(

Book Description: To save her village from ruthless raiders, Aren of Fallbrook strikes a bargain with the Hob, a magical, humanlike creature imbued with the power of the mountains. But the Hob will exact a heavy price to defend the village--a price Aren herself must pay.
