For me, not really, here in MT we all say if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes. My music taste is like the postal service... rain or shine, I'll listen to what is itching my ear.
Maybe it's just the effect it has on my mood, but when it's sunny I just want happy/fun music, and as the sun goes down it's Kyuss time.
No, I just always listen to my favorite songs, which is a mishmash of classical, pop, rock, rap, folk, whatever.
I tend to love moody music a lot of the time. But, a rainy day brings the urge to mind a little more.
I'm more apt to listen to rainy day songs when it rains. Raindrops keep fallin on my head, Blame it on the rain, Rainy day Woman, Rainy day song, November rain, Blue eyes crying in the rain, Early morning rain, Crying in the rain, I can't stop the rain, I can see clearly now, I wish it would rain, Ketucky rain, Let it rain, Rainy day people, Rainy night in Georgia, Standin in the rain, Stormy weather, Here comes that rainy day feeling again, Singing in the rain, Who'll stop the rain.....
Gosh, I didn't list hundreds of rainy songs... Can u believe I found a website with them? lolhttp://www.lacarte.org/songs/rain/
I have always LOVED Little Caesar's cover of I Wish It Would Rainhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002...
Oh totally. We get all the seasons here, so I make playlist for each of the four. Rain songs.........When It Rains by Paramore
That's the only one I can like, really link to rain. There are songs I believe are awesome when you listen to them rain, but that's the only...WAIT!
Have you ever Seen the Rain? Creedance Clearwater Revival.
Well I don't think i'd go so far as to say the weather determines what I listen to, but on gloomy, rainy days I do tend to listen to more slow, sad shit. I don't have Sirius/XM Radio, so in my car i'll take my I-Pod, or CD's. Right now I have a Phil Collins in there that's been in there for at least 6 months. I keep forgetting my cord for the I-Pod. If i'm in a cleaning mood, i'll trun on some hard rock/metal and play it loud, till i'm done.
Where I live, in Ontario, Canada, we have extreme seasons. Summer is humid and hot as hell, and winter can have snow banks taller than me! I love both seasons for different reasons, and I do listen to different music during these seasons.
During winter, my taste turns to the heavier, more crazy music. I think this keeps me motivated during the season that I like to call the season of sleep...lol.
During summer, I enjoy listening to softer music. Jazz and classical music become more tolerable. I crave Radiohead more often during the summer months. Things like that.

As of this weekend I will now always associate Motorhead with being soaked to the skin and caked in mud while Rage Against the Machine with being sun burned. Ah the joys of music festivals....
I used to go to music festivals (Lallapalooza, etc) all the time, but the place that hosted them and was closest for me to get to closed down about five years ago. :(

Does the weather do this to anybody else?
