Bookmark Swap #5 - open on Aug. 13th!
I'm going to go with anything that qualifies. The bookmark swap is for fun, so if you think it fits, then rock on! :)
3. You are responsible for shipping your bookmark to your swap person at your own expense NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, AUGUST 6TH! Be prepared to possibly send it out of the country. If you are sending your bookmark out of the country, please be mindful that a little extra travel time is needed. Send your bookmark as early as possible so nobody is disappointed on "opening day."4. Open your new bookmark as a group on FRIDAY, AUGUST 13TH!
I think I"m going to have to back out. I didn't realize the send date was the sixth. We are leaving for the beach July 31 and won't get back until the 7th. I'm bummed.
Im going to sit this one out. Family visitng during the making time and hubbys bday. Hopefully I will be back in for round 6.
Okay sorry to keep going back and forth but thinking about everything I have to do next week before we leave on Saturday (the 31st), I"m just not going to have time to make a bookmark (and read a book for it). So please count me out for this round. See you all in round six hopefully.

I know how busy things get, and this is supposed to be fun NOT a chore. We'll see ya next round!
Well, it's a fairy tale/folk tale (or retelling) theme, so if you've already read a book, like Ella Enchanted or something, then no! Otherwise, you better get busy :)There is a discussion topic on WT about fairy tales if you need some ideas.
I was going to read a new book for this one, but I just can't seem to crack it open. I guess that means I better pick one I've already read! I hate when a book doesn't appeal at the moment, even though I bought it because it sounded good at the time...
I was going to read Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow, which everyone really raved about. But it's been sitting on my dresser for 4 days now and I keep finding other things to do. It's just not calling my name...
I'm not reading a new book... I'm actually doing something very different this time around. I hope that my person likes it. It's pretty simple, but I like it. LOL
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!Oh man, it's possibly my favorite retelling ever! I was so engaged. It's at least in the top 3.
Ok, ok... I will read the first page and see what happens :) Maybe that'll be enough to change my mind. I was not feelin' The Book Thief when I read it either, and it was excellent. I'm a very moody reader. I have PRS. Pre-reading syndrome.
I think you have to be in the right mood for any book, or it's just not going to work, even when you know it will be good.
OK... my bookmark is done. I think that my person will like it... or at least find it amusingly cute! :P
Finishing mine up and hoping to mail it tomorrow. I *think* I like where I'm going -- but there are still so many things I want to do!
Mine just went in the mailbox. And once again, I did not take a just in case picture. Not sure where my brain is. Also, forgot to label "bookmark", so when *someone* (and I'm not saying who) gets a mid-size manilla envelope with humane society postage on it, DO NOT OPEN! Even though it will be so tempting, because it's thickish, and you know there must be more than one inside, and it's calling your name...
I have shipped. I hope my person likes it. I had planned on doing the one that I sent as a semi-joke half of a two-parter, but then I liked it so much that I didn't do the other half. LOL *spaz*
I think that my person will like it though. *fingers crossed*
Mine's in the mail today. Just finished it last night, whew! Nothing like waiting til the last possible second...

These are the rules:
1. You make or buy a bookmark themed around a fairy tale or folk tale of your choice (or a retelling of one.)
2. Have fun and be creative!!! How you represent your book/story on your bookmark is totally and completely up to you.
3. You are responsible for shipping your bookmark to your swap person at your own expense NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, AUGUST 6TH! Be prepared to possibly send it out of the country. If you are sending your bookmark out of the country, please be mindful that a little extra travel time is needed. Send your bookmark as early as possible so nobody is disappointed on "opening day."
4. Open your new bookmark as a group on FRIDAY, AUGUST 13TH!
5. Take a picture of the bookmark you receive to share with the group!
The goal is pretty much to just share a book/story you love in an unique way. Feel free to message me your address in the meantime if you'd like, I will hang onto it and confirm your spot in the swap here.
Thanks for participating! :-)
