Vampire Books for Adults

Nowadays, most vampire books that I know of, have been written for (mainly) the YA reader in mind. I don't find that subgenre that interesting or rewarding (generally spreaking) so I was wondering if you can recommend vampire books that fall outside the Twilight- and Vampire Diaries-sagas.

Adult vampire books that I can recommend are:

I Am Legend by Richard Matherson
Interview With the Vampire by Anne Rice

Kathyjacks Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.........I think there are around 10 out so far. These are definitely not for young readers.The HBO series True Blood is modeled after these books if that helps.

Diane (dianavishous) | 1 comments Yes, the Charlaine Harris series is very good, I'd also recommend the Blackdagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward.

I'm currently reading Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series...there's like 19 or 20 of them! I'm on #12 and have enjoyed them so far.

Do you mean the Night Huntress World? If so, the next Night Huntress World is about Vlad. I can't wait! I love Vlad.
