Here are a few questions to encourage discussion, Don't feel as if you have to answer all of them.

Things to consider.

1.What does the word 'grace' mean?
2.How did Jesus model grace?
3.Is there an area (or a person) in your life God's Spirit is nudging you to extend more grace to?

Bible Study Questions:
1. Read John 8:1-11. What do you find interesting about this story?

2. Read Leviticus 20:10 and Deuteronomy 22:22 in which God's law regarding adultery is given through Moses. Who else should have been punished according to God's law?

3. In the passage from John, what new attitude toward the law does God show through the person of Jesus?

4. What effect does Jesus' grace have on the crowd? On the woman?

I look forward to hearing your answers!

Linda | 4 comments Okay, here I go with my responses!

Things to consider:
1. To me the word grace means, in this context, forgiveness and understanding.
2. Jesus modeled grace by his forgiveness of the women and her sin.
3. Yes. Understanding for those who have not exactly been honest and have taken advantage of others.

Bible Study Questions:
1. There was no punishment for the man involved in the adulterous act.
2. According to God's law, the woman AND the man should die.
3. There is not one among us who is without sin and that men are guilty also.
4. The crowd disperses without throwing a stone.
The woman is stunned that Jesus allows her to leave.
