Crystal Sloan (crystal_sloan) Starting Aug 9, the "More in Store" feature (go into a BN store, turn on WIFI, hit Shop, More in Store on bottom of screen) will be to show your NOOK to a Bookseller and get a free 3-piece sample box of Godiva Gems.

Happy reading (and eating!)

Dorie (dorieann) Yay! Chocolate is always good. Thanks for the heads-up.

message 3: by TheThirdLie (new)

TheThirdLie Ooooh, that sounds awesome!

I'm definitely going to have to do that. Thanks for the heads up.

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) I neeeed to head out there. =]

Shanna (snowie) | 8 comments Free chocolate! Can't argue with that. :D

message 6: by Angela (new)

Angela B I have a day off with no plans, I think I need to head to Barnes and Noble today since that is starting

message 7: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo It's supposed to be thunder storms today I was heading out to needlepoint and B&N then changed my mind but maybe I'll just do B&N for awhile this morning so I can get the godiva at least and anything else they might have in store only. If I did needlepoint first I wouldn't get there until after 1pm. This way I'll just go there this morning for awhile then come home and hopefully before because the weather get lousy. It takes me 45 minutes to get there so it's not that it's close. Now the problem is getting in and out and resisting to buy any other books while I'm there.

message 8: by Angela (new)

Angela B I went to barnes and noble yesterday and managed not to buy anything (well I bought a chocolate cupcake and a drink but that doesn't count) I did however talk pictures of books I want to look up on my nook or at the library, that way I don't forget them

message 9: by Dorie (new)

Dorie (dorieann) I do that too, Angela! I browse in B&N and then buy books on my Nook.

message 10: by TheThirdLie (new)

TheThirdLie Same here.

So has anyone gone and done this? Were there any problems with getting the goods? :D

message 11: by Angela (new)

Angela B I picked them up yesterday they had to grab thenm out of the freezer but I got them just fine! Haven't tried them yet since I had alread had a chocolate cupcake...shame on me

Donnajo I just got back from there. The other in store thing was 30 percent off a nook case, etc. I wanted the one with quotes which they didn't have in and the first guy told me they would be in next week I can have one ordered, or get one and pay and have it sent to my house. I told him I'll think about it and be back. I didn't know about the 30 percent off thing yet but he did show me the godiva coupon. First it went to the older stuff first and he couldn't understand that. It did it again later when I had the other coupon and walked to the front of the store with it still on. It just switched to the older stuff that expired back in June. Can't understand why it does that. Anyway, I went back to the front with the 30 percent coupon to find out if I can order it or have one sent different guy then and he didn't know told me to ask a manager that was in. As I'm walking towards her she said not too nice no you can't get it I already asked for someone else and it's only things that are marked with the 30 percent sticker (which it didn't say certain things on the coupon) she kept saying she doesn't know if that cover was coming in time etc. I just gave up and figured why argue about it. I did get 2 regular books which isn't bad for me, one magazine and another $25 gift certificate for the nook. The covers with the 30 percent off coupon were all more money than I wanted to spend. I'll wait and see if they ever get the one I want back. Signals catalog has a nice one for any e reader but I don't know how those are on fit.

Shari | 3 comments My local store has a Starbucks, not a B&N Cafe and they won't honor the Nook coupons.

message 14: by Crystal (new)

Crystal Sloan (crystal_sloan) Shari, you should still ask a Bookseller about it, even if they don't have a BN Cafe. The store I work at doesn't have a cafe either, but we still got the free chocolates for the promotion. : )

Isn't the 30% on the website also? Couldn't you just order it and have them ship it to you, then you wouldn't have to deal with crazy store managers...

They are on sale there too...

message 16: by Dorie (new)

Dorie (dorieann) I got mine! Yum!

message 17: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo Kristi, Yesterday they had it online and I just checked it's it's unavailable it says to check back. Strange. Maybe they will no longer have it. Oh well with already having one good one do I really want another just because. I liked the Oberon's but they are so expensive. I just like quotes and it wasn't expensive the other one. I'll just hold off for the time being. Back to the b&N ones I noticed when you check certain books online it does show the 30 percent off discount with the price but then there are others that they still have the same price. So maybe it is only certain ones that are discounted but why not say that one the coupon. Unless I missed it.

message 18: by TheThirdLie (new)

TheThirdLie Pretty sure it's only their "designer" cases that are 30% off.

Picked up the chocolate yesterday and it was delicious. My friend and I gobbled it up in the store while browsing the shelves.

message 19: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo the case is a jonathan Alder I think the name is. It's not that the case is a expensive one so if they have them again I might just get it. I should have bought it when I saw it last time but forgot when I came back to the front of the store to check out. The nook stuff in when you walk in. And I didn't want to carry it around. Plus at the time I was just about it.

message 20: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo Does anyone know how long the in store coupons change. Is there different ones each week or new ones added with some of the other ones. I haven't gone each week so don't know if they change by the week or not. I think if I knew there was a good coupon a week I didn't go I would go.

message 21: by Crystal (new)

Crystal Sloan (crystal_sloan) @ Donnajo, they don't change weekly. I'm pretty sure it's a monthly thing. : )

The 30% off cases are only the select few. I have a feeling they are gonna be phasing those specific accessories out. I think the "coupon" that shows up on your nook when you access the More in Store directs you to the website. I'm sure it probably says "selected items" somewhere on it.

I'm really hoping they start allowing coupons to work on nook accessories, or even the membership discount card.

message 22: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo Probably. Maybe they will come back with different ones. Maybe that is also why the one I want they say they don't know if they will get.

message 23: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (kristicoleman) Went and got my Chocolates at lunch today! Can't wait for desert!

message 24: by KimWin (new)

KimWin | 34 comments yum!

message 25: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo If the chocolates are for a month. Is there anyway they know if you went say 2 weeks in a row and get them two times. I know with me I got a bottle of water too so gave them my card but didn't know if they asked for your card if you only got the chocolate.

message 26: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 340 comments They didn't ask for my card when I only got the chocolate the other day. I didn't even buy anything that day. Just looked around

message 27: by Crystal (new)

Crystal Sloan (crystal_sloan) If you just get the chocolate there's really no way to know, unless the bookseller remembers you of course! Or if you have a few bn stores around you could just visit them all (I jokingly told my husband to take my nook to our three local stores for me while I'm at work. I LOVE Godiva)!

: )

message 28: by TheThirdLie (new)

TheThirdLie There's that little code that comes with the ad though, I'd imagine if you tried to use it again they would know you've already gotten the chocolate...

message 29: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo The girl that I got mine from didn't even take the number but I did get a bottle of water which she used my card for. I shared mine tonight at first I said we never got to have it and I would save them for another time and both my sister & niece said what you aren't letting us try them. So I went and got it and cut each in half my sister had two pieces I had two and I guess my niece's husband had a piece and at last I looked the other 1/2 was still sitting there. I hope it doesn't get wasted. I don't like eating chocolate that late at night because it keeps me up all night.

message 30: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 340 comments Yeah they didn't take the code from mine either. All they did was see the add and give me the chocolate.

message 31: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo Well I got my answer today I went to B&N and the godiva chocolate is still available still the same stuff as the last time I went. So got it again. So I was able to get it two times. I asked before I left how often the in store offers change and was told once a week but I told the guy this is the same stuff it was in the beginning of the month. The only thing they added new was the free essays or whatever they are called.
I did do the free read in store for using nook. To see what type of info the book gives. I meant to see if they had the book in the store before leaving but forgot. I didn't read it for an hour but really just wanted to see if it's worth it.
