Fantasy Book Club Series discussion

We've been discussing the Paravians in other threads and I thought it might be useful to have a separate thread about them. I decided to put them under Peril's Gate, as that is where both Lysaer and Arithon have a separate encounter with one of the centaurs or Ilitharian Paravians. There are three different races - the centaurs, the sun children, and the unicorns. They all have a separate label and I'm too fried to look them up at the moment, so I'll trust someone else to bring up the different races, name them, and tell us your impressions/thoughts.

Now that we have an actual thread about the Paravians, my mind is blanking on me.

I will say that so far every encounter with the Paravians has been a very beautiful, amazing scene. I am absolutely awed by their presence as well. I think I'm beginning to understand why keeping them in Athera is the Fellowship's highest priority.

Except for this sentence in Reins of Destiny that I quoted before:


"No firsthand witness might argue the truth. The harrowing price of Paravian service cost his people altogether too much."
