Janet Evanovich Book Group discussion

I've got to say that Ranger is my favorite person from the Plum series. I've found other characters from other books that remind me of him. Valek from the Study series by Maria V. Snyder reminds me a little of him. Anyone have any suggestions for other books with that type of man?

Try Creepers by David Morrell. The main character is clever, tough & resourceful. This is a thriller book and not as light as Evanovich but a great read! I really like this character. Another is the Shane Scully books by Stephen J. Cannell. Shane Scully is a cop and very charming. Again, not as light as Evanovich but lighter than Morrell. Cannell's books are fun reads! Enjoy.

I like to read Cannell's books too! I've read 2 Shane Scully's and plan on finishing this series.

No one has posted on this topic for quite a while. I just finished a really great fast paced romantic-suspense with loads of humor. by Adrienne Bell is FREE on Amazon. Get it. I loved it.

Thanks for recommending this book. I'm 1/5 of the way through it and so far it's pretty good.

It is so hard to find romantic-suspense with a lighter touch. Serial killers and human trafficking seem to dominate.

I just found a great series. Romantic-suspense-lite with a paranormal touch (for you Diesel fans). LOL humor too. I got the third book as an ARC and bought the other two from Amazon. I rarely ever buy books these days, but I had to read the first two. Deja Voodoo by Elle James. I think this series will appeal to all you Janet Evanovich fans.

Lots of my friends love the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I've got the first 12 books, but haven't read any of them. Paranormal is not my genre of choice.

I just finished So Many Boots, So Little Time by Kalan Chapman Lloyd. It is #3 in a wonderful cozy-mystery series that JE fans will love.

Another great cozy series I've found is the Home Sweet Home Mysteries. Book #2 A Killer Location by Sarah T. Hobart is really, really good.

A Date with Fate by Tracy Ellen is a fun read. I love all the characters in this book. You will laugh so much with this book.

Try: Brandy Alexander Series; Lexi Graves Series; Lexi Carmichael series; and Addison Holmes series. All have a "Ranger" like character.

They sound yummy. I'll check them out.
