Which Sparks book should I read first?
I enjoyed A Walk to remember, Bend in the Road, Dear John. They're all good, you really can't go wrong when picking one.
Safe Haven was really good in my opinion. A little different then the others. With Sparks there is always a format, u know what to expect.
Read a walk to remember first and then continue with the other novels. Because I exactly started that way, but I suggest u read in between n sparks novels, more often it becomes really heavy reading one after the other...
A Walk to Remember is amazing that's what got me hooked! :D I've also read Dear John and currently reading Message in a bottle :D
Probably The Notebook because it's his first book. :)
The Notebook. It is his first book and his best. But then read The Wedding it is the sequel to The Notebook.
I have read the notebook, dear john and the last song, The last song I read before I saw the movie it was great, but I am gonne read them all ( some day)
Just know that "True Believer" comes before "At First Sight" I made a mistake and read them backwards!
Hmm, that's hard but i would say either the notebook, a walk to remeber, the lucky one, the last one or his newest one The Best Of Me.
The last one (released in September of 2010) was called Safe Haven, Jenia. Lol. It was one of my favorites! You can honestly start with any of his books and be in a good spot. Nicholas Sparks once said in at interview it would be best to start with his book "Three Weeks with my Brother" (not a novel, more of a book of his account of 3 weeks he spent with his brother traveling) to get a good feel for the type of person he is. Then I would just suggest going in order from published date, I mean why not? :)
Ashlee, agreed. I started reading his novels when i was 17, so i been fan for years now. I'm actually reading Three Weeks with my brother right now:) But i agree. Have you read all his books?
I have read all of his novels, and funny enough, I am reading "Three Weeks with my Brother" right now also! I made it a goal of mine to finish up reading his books this year, and this is the last one. I haven't had much time to read lately so this one book may carry over into the new year, but at least I finished all of his NOVELS.
Nice, how we reading book at same time. LOL. I only have one more after this, The Guardian then i be done with all his books. You own any?

I love both of those, read both of them more then once.
I've real all of his books..except his new one the best of me..and i own his entire collection..So freaking magical!
Beatrice wrote: "I'm reading The Lucky One. :)"I just started too...Though I'm not fan of the police officer (don't want to ruin characters for others who haven't read)...I am not sure I like to hear his thoughts, etc. when in a movie your not as descriptive with those details you just know from watching it play out.
I saw the preview and wanted to read the book first. I wish is some ways I hadn't seen even the preview cause I'm basing what I've read even to now (page 80) on what I saw! haha...
This is my first Nicolas Sparks books. Not sure I could read them after I've seen the movies, which some of them I love!?

Jenia, I own all of them! :) In September there was a big book sale at our town auditorium and I had just gotten a financial aid refund check so I went and got all of his books that I didn't have. I'd like to get them all in a hardcover though, so I'm slowly finding nicer hard-copy versions of his books and replacing my paperback ones. I also want the original covers and not movie ones. I'm funny about that, so while I do own all his books I'm tweaking my collections. I want the original hardcover copy of all his books. :] And aside from "The Last Song" I have all the DVD's of his books that have been turned into movies. A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Nights in Rodanthe, Message in a Bottle, and Dear John. (:
Ashlee,Nice. I have most of his books, i am only missing few. I only got two in hardcover, The best Of Me & The Bend In The Road. What was the first book of his you read?
The first book of his that I read was "A Walk to Remember". Before hearing any hype about him as a writer, I had seen a preview for the movie. I saw the movie first and then read the book. I loved it so much, that I read it 2 times since, making it a total of 3 times. It's not long at all but it's so good. I then attempted to read "Message in a Bottle" but I got bored of it and put it down (picked it back up last year and read it though). Aside from A Walk to Remember I read the rest of his books in 2010 and this year. :) so the last two years I've had a lot of Sparks in my collection. What about you? What's the first Sparks novel you ever read?
It's Funny but first book i read was Walk To Remeber Too. LOL. I saw movie first too, with my boyfriend at a time. I got book for my 17th birthday. I read at least 5 but i am thinking of re-reading it again. Second book i read was The Notebook. I read his books through the years and even re-read some.I have most books but Three Weeks With My Brother(Gotit from Library), The Guardian, The Choice, Nights In Rodanthne & Safe Haven. Rest i have.Ohh how was The Guardian? That one i got left to read.
At first I saw the movie the Notebook and I loved it, my friend gave me The Wedding and said this is sort of a sequel to the notebook so read it. Thats when I became a Nicholas Sparks fan. Since 2010 I've read all his books. And my personal favourite is 2 weeks with my brother!

Thanks!!!
