I didn't think Physik was that bad. The time travel thing was actually kind of cool, if frustrating.
But Niko and Snorri got stuck back in time!!! And everyone was muy sad when Marcellus took Septimus.
(Well, it's true! Though I think I have still read the Artemis Fowl books more than you. The second one at least)
random re-reading is fun and it helps you remember the story better so I say yay to random re-reading to.
Yeah, but re-reading is not nearly as cool as reading new books! It gets so boring after the first ten times or so. (Unless you read it in Spanish, that keeps it pretty interesting)
Oh my goodness!!!!! Just found out that Darke is coming out in April! Here's the official summary:In the Darkely fantastic penultimate book of this internationally bestselling series, Septimus and his friends find themselves attempting the impossible as Septimus begins his initiation into Darke Week.
Septimus is on the threshold of his fourteenth birthday, which falls on the shortest day of the year. While everyone celebrates and the Castle is lit with traditional candles, Septimus has greater concerns on his mind. He has finally reached the period in his Apprenticeship known as Darke Week. During this crucial time, he hopes to undertake the very dangerous mission of restoring Alther from Banishment, following the attempted invasion of the Castle of Syren. But while this preoccupies him, other Darke things are afoot in the Castle.
I decided to re-read the whole series in celebration of knowing that its coming out. I'm on Flyte right now. So awesome!!!
I am reading Magyk right now bacause Allie made a list for me in English so that I will have read atleast 20,000 pages by the end of the quarter.
Allie, you have to wait to read the Tapestry to see. Max, I think, is just slightly more awesome than Septimus.
What!? I don't see that at all. Plus, Max's character deveopment is definitely flawed. He grows up in like two pages!
I know...... but I kind of am rereading the Septimus Heap series right now. I'm still on Flyte.....
NOW! YOU NEED TO READ THEM NOW BECAUSE THEY ARE AWESOME! Oh and the 15th one will either make you cry or really sad. That was one of the 1st books that made me cry hard. I was sooooo sad.
I just watched the movie. It was more than slightly corny. Anna tells me the books are better though.
More info on Darke (off of Angie Sage's blog):DARKE will be out in the USA on June 1st. DARKE begins at the Dark of the Moon (of course) on Jen and Sep’s 14th birthdays. It is time for Sep to choose when to do his Darke Week – the part of the ExtraOrdinary Apprenticeship that separates it from the Ordinary Apprenticeship. He must also choose what to do, but there is not problem with that as far as Sep is concerned. He is going to get Alther back. Because, in a highly unfortunate accident, Marcia has Banished Alther to the Darke Halls. But of course all does not go according to plan, as Merrin is still lurking in the Palace and the power of his Two-Faced Ring is growing ever stronger. And Merrin has a plan…
In DARKE we see more of Simon and Lucy, Beetle, Nicko and of course Jen and Sep. Look out too for Wolf Boy’s brothers.
You never know. He might have brothers. He was in the Young Army for pretty much all his life. (Except when he's Wolf Boy but that doesn't count.)
He does have brothers, they're sort of in the first one. Wolf Boy is a triplet, so his brothers were Boys 410 and 411. I'd wondered what had happened to them!
Another update on Darke (no, I'm not obsessed, I just check Angie Sage's blog every once in a while):In the sixth book of the Magykal series, Alther Mella has been Banished, a Darke Domaine engulfs the Castle, and a Darke dragon is on the loose. Septimus must use all of his skills to save the Castle and the Wizard Tower from destruction: He must enter the Darke. But he cannot do this alone. With the help of Jenna, Alther Mella, Marcellus Pye, and his estranged brother, Simon Heap, Septimus and Marcia Overstrand, the Extraordinary Wizard, battle the spreading Darkenesse. Will Septimus succeed in protecting his Magykal world?
Septimus Heap, Book Six: Darke follows our hero’s ongoing quest to realize who he is and who he is to become. Written with Angie Sage’s characteristic humor, Darke is another compelling fantasy adventure filled with many surprises and laugh-out-loud moments. Readers will revel in the action-packed story as they realize the wisdom of Magyk—that all things are meant to be part of a living whole.
