I'm SO excited! I am actually thinking about starting the "Week: 1" thread. It's the thread where we "gather all our reviews and anything that is not a review will be deleted" kind of thread. :P
Anyway, I am starting with A Man's Search for Meaning! :D
Anyway, I am starting with A Man's Search for Meaning! :D
I've been excited all week! The last book I read was on the 3rd of December, I was saving the books I have for the challenge. I haven't chosen a book, yet. I'm thinking Who's That Girl by Alexandra Potter or A Child Called "It" by Dave Pelzer. What do you think, guys? Choose one for me. :D
Happy new year all :)and I have the same question as Sara, can we know more??
actually I am reading very long book, and interesting one too " Woman runs with wolves" I like to put it in 2011 list :D
Girls, if you haven't finished more than 50% of it, it definitely does count, since tomorrow it begins anyway.
:D Weeeeee!
:D Weeeeee!
Yaay, I'm so excited. I don't want to sound so lame but honestly, this challenge is the only thing I'm looking for in 2011! I have already picked my first book but I have to finish Bell Jar, first! SO STOKED!
i'm too excited i couldnt wait for tomorrow to begin so i began today XDi'm starting with " الخليفة الزاهد عمر بن عبد العزيز "
my aunts used to study it at school, mom studied it when she was my age
it seems very intersting and old, not to mention that i love aged books!
I am so excited as well! I can't decide what I want to read yet, I think that will be my NYE plans, figuring out what books to read the first month :)Happy New Year everyone! Can't wait to get to know all of you and get great book recommendations!
Yay, I'm reading a long book and I've only got to around 40% of it, I wasn't able to finish it before 2011 so I guess it's going in my 52-book shelf! Besides that, I haven't chosen what to read first :p
Exited here as well... im starting with "Banker To The Poor" which i expect to be highly interesting & inspiring..Happy 2011!
Hah, glad to see everyone's as excited as me!(^^_)The choices of books are quite interesting, I love how diverse they are...
And Gee, if you want to start with something lighthearted, then go with the Alexander Potter one. I personally loved A Child Called It, but it was heavy stuff, I have to warn you, and you'll be thinking about it for a week at least:D (i did, anyway)
As much as I wanted to save my books for 2011, I couldn't. So I'll finish up with the book I'm reading and count it in as my 2011 first week's book since I'm still in the beginning.Happy new year, book worms!
Happy New Year For all I hope all will doing everything he dreamed with :):)I will Today Begin with First Book :D
Let the fun begin! I have got loads of books I couldn't decided on what to start with (that's one of the main reason's my 52-books list isn't up yet).. then I watched The Arrivals which made me decide to read Chomsky's Media Control.
Well here is the begining .. I'm so excited ^^ I wish u all the best with this challenge ;)
I will start with " جسر على نهر درينا"
Happy new year for all ..I'll start with : " كبرى اليقينيات الكونية "

In contrary to a writers block , I am currently experiencing a reader's block. I haven't read anything since like December 15 I've been saving up all the books for the challenge , though most of the books on my list I already own , but last night when trying to figure out what to start with I just couldn't chose, and that urge for reading is suddenly gone. Funny , when we have something that we've been yearning for it just becomes not so appealing. I'll maybe start out with the time travelers wife. Wish me luck.
Subbz, just start with ANY book. It's probably because you've been waiting too long. Just like the person who cannot eat after being hungry for too long. :D
hello I'm reading زئبق لإميلي نوثومب...
I think I'll finish it tomorrow :D
I'm so excited ..can't wait to read ur reviews XD
happy new year and ...let's have some fun
Hello! =)I've been reading The Castle by Kafka for a while now, so just going to continue with it as am still not halfway through the book. Hopefully I shouldn't have trouble finishing it by the end of this week.

I am starting with Home: A Memoir of My Early Years by Julie Andrews. I really like her and in light of her husband's recent passing I thought it would be nice to begin with it :)http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/25...

Can't wait to begin, I haven't picked a book up all week to save them for my 52 list, bah.
First on my list is Wizard & Witch, by James Patterson...
What about you guys? Nervous, excited? What's the first book you're going to pick up?
