Danger
chapter 1 — characters
The graveled stones on the black paved driveway made a popping sound as my tires drove by. I am going down to my grandparent’s house to feed there four dogs: Annie, Rover, Trever, and Rusty. They’re all boys except for Annie. I’ve been coming down here for 2 weeks while my grandparents are in Paris. They are staying there for about one and a half more weeks. It’s November fourteenth and I Amery Malibu lives in Watsonville California. I am twelve years old and I have a younger ten year old sister named Monica. We both live with our parents: Stacey Malibu and Drake Malibu. My mom is expecting a baby boy. My mom and dad either want to call him Jesse or Jacob. I personally want it to be Jesse. I am so excited! I will have a baby brother! Jesse, what a perfect name.
My favorite part about coming down to my grandparent’s house is the nature scenes and sounds in the orange groves. That’s all that’s really here, well that and there’s a gigantic cliff with a rushing river and sharp rocks below. Even though it’s a half a mile away from my grandparent’s house, they and my parents tell me to be careful 24/7.
My little sister Monica makes me so angry sometimes. She never wants to come down here with me. Why? Because all she does all day is practice playing sports with her so-called friends. She’s obviously to “busy” to come down here. Unlike her I take an offer when it’s asked. I like to read and write. I hope Jesse is like both me and Monica when he gets older. Sometimes, when I ride my bike down here it gives me the creeps. Like one time everything was silent and then about thirteen orange trees down I heard this weird sounding snap! It scared me at first but I concluded it was just a rabbit or a coyote. I’m pretty sure there’s nothing dangerous here well, except for the cliff.
I can feel the wind beating my face. As I ride into my grandparent’s driveway, all of a sudden a burst of cold air hits my face. I know it’s already winter, but this means it’s getting colder and colder everyday. I make my way over to the side gate. Everything’s normal, locks in place, nothings bent or broken. I’m good, I carefully and quietly take the keys from my neck which are hooked onto a necklace thing and put the special, small key into the lock, turn and click. The latch becomes undone and I turn and walk in. Trever, her dog is an old one, so he takes special medicine and sleeps all day. Rover, the youngest is fat, healthy, and active as can be. I think he needs pills too cause he’s a little loco. Annie is kind of shy around me but not really, she’s a real sweetheart. But, my favorite dog that my grandparent’s have is Rusty. He’s so outgoing and he follows me everywhere. He’s like my mini warrior. Trever is a pure bred Hound Dog just like Annie. Rover is a Beagle and Rusty is a German Shepard. They are all fixed.
After I finish feeding her dogs I find myself moving toward a lawn chair. I admire her house, a two story Spanish-Victorian styled house complete with trees, plants, built-in-pool and an outdoor kitchen.
On my way back to my house I start to feel a little dehydrated even though it’s winter. So I pull over under an orange tree and rest there for a second. I dig through my pockets to find something to snack on and sure enough I find a Kit-Kat bar. I tear open the red plastic and bite and chew enthusiastically. I grab my lemon-lime Gatorade from my bike and gulp the icy drink down vigorously leaving my throat refreshed. I search my back pockets for my phone. When I find it and flip it open it reads 6:20. Huh, I’ve been gone for 20 minutes. I decide that its time to head home on the long, curvy, drive back before my parents start to worry. I get up, carefully dust off my sequined, denim pants and my purple tank top. As I get up I peer through the orange grooves and see something strange. Two bright green eyes attached to a weird naked figure. All of a sudden I can’t breath. I get back into focus, pick my bike up and drive as fast as I can on the way back I’d known from the on: this place was a danger.

I liked My Expiration Date. It was intresting(: Only a few spelling and grammical errors..But besides that,it had a good storyline and I enjoyed reading it.You should make it longer if you plan on publishing it.Describe every year and say how scared she is.(Just an idea)
I was going to put in all the years but i didn't know what to say and i didn't want to bore people...
My Becoming

Don't ask...I let my mind wander off one night and this is the result...it's not even close to being done...but it's very....weird...=\

Oh,but it is a chapter book.Instead of every year.Keep what you have but add more deatail and a breif summary of the years before..
Just a suggestion...How did you come up with that? It's very good.
I was active in my animal rights groups and i thought "If they don't care when it happends to animals, maybe they will when it happends to people..."
Yes.True.Are you a vegetarian?
Really? I didn't know that...
I know there's a word for what i am but i forgot...I eat fish...((I'm sorry! But I ♥ seafood!))

Here's a poem of mine :Title: Forever
Genre: Poetry/Romance
Description: When you are scared to say forever. . . i think it's at best not to see with your eyes, but with you heart ♥
Forever - Poem
She covers her eyes
and avoids to see.
She whispers his name
in dreams, in her sleep.
She takes his hand
and presses it to her cheek.
She tells him the words
she’s too afraid to speak.
He listens to her patiently
and loves her with every touch.
‘Forever’ he says
‘Forever’ she says.
She covers her eyes
and begins to see.

And here's another one:Title: Red Ribbons
Genre: Poetry/Drama
Description: Its pretty itself explanatory.
Red Ribbons
She sees her
Soft white skin,
The soft blue veins
That mark a way
Beneath her skin
In her pale white wrist,
She feels her pulse
Its pressure underneath,
Almost like its someone
Who wants to scream,
She traces lines to
Relieve the pain,
She holds in her hands
Her deadly reflection,
And traces her lines
Again and again,
She extends her arm
For everyone to see,
To show the world
Those dark red ribbons
That adorn her sleeve,
Those simple lines that
Caused the pain,
Those beautiful ribbons
That released the pain.
And only to realize
That the ribbons in her sleeve. . .
They belong to me.
Only to realize
That the girl with red ribbons.
That girl is me.

And another one:Title: Fall
Genre: Poetry/Romance
Description: Falling in love is hard...
Fall
The tree shades
down its leaves for spring;
She gazes outside
to watch the leaves
fall down to the grass
and make it soft
for the fall that comes
for the two of us.
As I gaze in your eyes
and you swim into mine
I can’t help but wonder,
What will it happen
when the last leave falls?
Will our bridge in the ground
be strong enough for the both of us?
She gazes outside
to watch the tree,
The tree shades its leaves
just in time for spring.

Title: White Red RoseGenre: Poetry/and something else
Description We all want to change, at some point in our lives, we need it. But changing, always comes with a price.
White Red Rose
There’s a white rose beneath my window.
It’s petals pose in this winter cold,
Of dying wishes and desperate hopes.
My hand gently moves toward the cold white rose,
Until I realize its filled with a million thorns.
A sting in my hand, a deep red pain,
Running blood that falls upon the white red rose.
There’s a red rose beneath my window,
It’s petals shine in the golden light,
Of living dreams and freshly hopes.
My hand gently moves toward the now red rose.
The beautiful rose gazes outside in this winter cold,
Though she feels safe and worm
Inside my hands, that have now become the newly home
Of the pure red rose
