Okay you Twilight fanatics out there. Would someone please explain the controversy over the Breaking Dawn cover? Myers has admitted to having played a role in choosing the photo. Why this photo, a couple of chess pieces, one red, one white? What's the big deal?

Maggi It's sort of supposed to rep. the war/battle of the wills agianst the Volturi and Cullens.

Mia (starbounded) The big white queen represents Bella as a vampire - strong and pale. The red pawn is Bella as a human - vulnerable and with a body filled with blood. The queen is in the front to represent Bella coming forth as an immortal vampire whilst leaving her human life behind.

This is the best explanation I have seen. It makes sense. I have to conclude that the controvesy is more about what Bella chooses than how she is represented on the cover. A good or bad role model, forced to choose between two monsters with little voice of her own? That's a topic for another discussion...

Maggi ya, I think my explanation was sort of dumb. I really just guessed randomly.
