eGames are not missed (except perhaps by my FB friends :-) They were escapism - but reading is escapism with benefits!4.Where the Heart Is by Billie Letts
Not getting into the EotH, so
Now reading The Bookseller of Kabul by Asne Seiersted (sp?)
5.The Bookseller of Kabul by Asne Seierstad6.Day After Night by Anita Diamant. She is such a wonderful author, her characterization is complex but natural. Would definitely recommend her.
A little behind in my reading rate, so I have to get going!
Two extremely different books this time:7.
Blood of the Prodigal by P.L.. GausNot a page turner, but I'll try the next in the series, the characters are starting to grow on me.
8.
Shit My Dad Says by Justin Halpern.I'm going to send this one to my dad - he doesn't read much, but he'll laugh out loud.
9.
Broken English by P.L. GausThe Amish mystery series is quietly growing on me...
Now if I can only finish some of the books I've half read!
10.
Jack & Jill by James Patterson. Not a mental stretch, but good entertainment for a week with the flu.
11. 4th of July by James Patterson
12. Freaky Deaky by Elmore Leonard
First time I've read Leonard, didn't realize he was a Michigan author.
13.
Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris. For book club this month. Not bad, but atypically I like the HBO version better. Don't seem to get enough emotion from her writing, or is it just the first book?14.
Heart and Soul by Maeve Binchy. In her usual style with interwoven characters.Next month is mine to choose for book club and I can't decide - any suggestions???
