So, if you have a character or characters who're in a relationship, go ahead and rp them and the love of their life doing dorky Valentine's Day stuff here! Or just have two friends being uncomfortable... ~laughs evilly~

"I'm not so sure about this..." James said to Thomas in an undertone. The hand holding flowers trembled.

Thomas grinned at his friend and put a hand on his shoulder. "C'mon, man, you can do it!"

"But... I mean... she's not very girly, you know? You think she'll like flowers?" James asked anxiously.

"All girls like flowers," Thomas said confidently. "Just do it. She'll love them!"

Raven sighed. She hated this day. It was probably the most girly, most annoying, most PINK day of the year. EVER. But oh well, it was mainly for the guys to show off to their dates, not for the girls.

She walked over to the park bench that James had told her to go to at precisely 3 pm, and sat down at exactly 3 pm.

And, in spirit of the holiday, Raven had her black hair up in a single ponytail with a black rose pinned to the side, and wore a red and black suit. Her lips had a dark gloss on them, making them seem a pale lavander--something that only made her pale skin stick out. Instead of heels, she had on her black combat boots underneath her matching suit-pants, along with a black bowtie on over her red dress shirt and black vest. She looked around expectantly. He's late....

James swallowed nervously and stepped off Thomas's motorcycle. "Wish me luck," he said, smoothing down his tie.

"Luck," Thomas said, grinning. "Go get 'em, tiger!"

James rolled his eyes at his friend and started walking briskly toward the park. He checked his watch quickly. Oh crap, I'm late. Raven's gonna kill me...

Raven waited impatiently on the park bench, hoping she hadn't just been stood up. She looked down. He wouldn't do that...would he...?

She sighed loudly, feeling a little sad at her thoughts.

As James drew close to their agreed meeting place, he saw Raven sitting on the park bench, swinging her heels. Crap. She looks p***ed. Maybe flowers weren't such a good idea...

James spotted the black rose in Raven's hair and breathed a sudden mental sigh of relief. On the other hand... Quickly he dropped the flowers he was holding on the ground and watched as they were absorbed into the earth. Moments later, three black roses appeared in the exact spot. James picked them up and, smiling, resumed walking.

Raven heard his footsteps, and looked up and over in his direction, to see him holding something behind his back. She almost instantly beamed and instead of running over to him, waited patiently for him to come to her. She was happy...but not happy enough to forgive him for being late....yet.

"H-Hi, Raven," James stammered as he approached her. "You look... really great."

Raven looked up at him and smiled. "Thanks, James. What took you so long?" She asked, still smiling sweetly, even though it was clear that she wanted a really good excuse.

"Well... I was..." James blushed. "I was trying to work up the courage to come over here," he muttered.

Raven saw him blush, and giggled a bit. She pecked him on the cheek, and then asked,"What are you hiding behind your back?" She tried to peer over his shoulder to see.

"Uh... flowers," James said, blushing even more furiously and giving them to her. "Happy Valentine's Day!"

She gasped, and held them up to her nose to smell them. She smiled, content and forgiving him for being late. "Thank you James! They're perfect..."

"I'm glad you like them," he said softly, smiling.

She smiled, and then hugged him. "So, what are our plans today?" She asked, still grinning.

"Well..." James said, still blushing. "There's this movie that just came out..." ((make up a movie they'd both like.))

Raven looked at him, slightly impressed. "TOALU? Is it TOALU you're talking about?" She asked, anxious.

((Gotcha.))

James smiled and held up two tickets. "Our showing is in half an hour..."

((Oh, just as a headsup, TOALU stands for Tales of a Lost Utopia, which is that comic that I was making where our gr charries came to life. This movie is practically the same, except the website is called,"Book Geeks", or BG for short.))

She beamed, extremely happy now. "Thanks James!!" She was so excited that the tips of her fingers lit on fire. She blushed and quickly put them out.

"Let's take... the scenic route..." James led Raven away from the main path to an isolated clearing in the park woods. "Is anyone nearby?" he asked anxiously.

((Derp... scenic route..))

Raven used her earth-like power, and scanned the area using the tree's sight. She shook her head. "No...." She said, looking at James, wondering what he was up to.

"Great. Hold on... I hope you aren't claustrophobic," James said, grinning a little wider now. He put his arm around Raven's shoulder and closed his eyes. With a soft sliding-crunching noise, the ground beneath them sank quickly down.

Raven was a little more than suprised, and couldn't help but cry out a little as soon as this had happened. "James, what are you up to?!"

"Hey, don't worry," James said, tone instantly apologetic. "I'm just taking us to the movie theater underground. I though you'd like to see some of the cool stuff down here..."

"Oh....okay..." She said, seeming a little bit calmer, although...sort of still freaked out. The whole underground thing was very surprising.

James hugged Raven tight as their earthen platform sunk deeper down. "Did you know that there's actually a vein of gold underneath here? It's way far down, and there's no way any normal human would be able to find it, but it's really pretty."

"Really? That's really cool, James. Have you been travelling down here lately?" She asked, looking up at him. She hated the fact that he was a few inches taller than her. She silently vowed to grow a few inches over the summer.

((Hahahaa!!))

"Mmn. Not really. I've known this gold has been here for a while. I just decided to check it out recently. 'Course, it's still in rocks and everything, but I can take you right into the middle. The gold'll be happy to show off for you. It's very vain." He smiled a little. "Here we are."

She looked around and cast a small flame in her hand, making all the golden specks glitter brilliantly around them. She whistled, clearly amazed. "Wow..."

The gold shifted a little around them and James grinned. "Keep complimenting it and you'll cause an earthquake," he said, only half-joking. "Here..." He reached out a hand to touch the gold only to have the side near Raven shift and move until a perfectly circular loop was poked out. ((It's a ring, btw... get Raven to take it off the rock.))

((.......he's not proposing, is he?! They're only fourteen, Bobbie!!))

Raven grinned and looked over at him. She saw the ring suddenly form and her eyes widened. "Whoa, James, you don't have to..."

((No. that's dumb. he just thought she'd like jewelery.))

"The gold likes you," James said with some surprise. "I suppose I must have influenced it some with all my talk about you before today..." He blushed suddenly and said, "Take it. You'll offend it otherwise, and we really don't want that."

((He didn't actually touch the gold, it gave her a ring all on its own...))

((Oh, okay...))

Raven smiled a little, blushing, and took the ring. it slipped over her finger, fitting perfectly. The ring had a nice leafy design to it, a single lotus-like flower as the main detail. On the inside, a latin inscription formed, saying,"To fuscus."

"Thanks, it's beautiful," She said to the gold, smiling, her pale skin now a nice rosey-red.

((It means to the Dark one.))

((Cool.))

"Okay," James said, suddenly wanting open space very badly. ((Tee hee, he's embarrassed about being in a small space in the dark with Raven...)) "Here we are, right across from the movie theater." With a loud crunching noise, they emerged onto the floor of an abandoned-looking building that James quickly led the way out of, unheeding of the large steel chains and padlock on the doors.

((Yeah...))

Raven smiled, following. She noticed the large padlocks and such, and kinda wondered what was up with that, but figured James knew what he was doing and where he was taking her.

"Watch out," James said as he ducked under a low-hanging steel girder. "This building has been under construction for like a year now, and I don't know how stable everything is."

((Who's Dimitri? You don't have him on your charrie topic!))

Raven raised an eyebrow at him, now really wondering about this. She took a breath and then, nonetheless, followed suit.

((Derp... should I make something interesting happen while they're in the construction site? Or what?

I originally planned for James to take them up in an abandoned building across the street from the movie theater just so that no one would see two kids coming up from the ground and freak out. Now what should happen?))

((Make something interesting happen!! Like, I dunno, make a dude recognize Raven, or a girl recognize James!!))

((Oh... I was thinking more along the lines of construction starts back up again while they're still there, and none of the construction workers see them...))

"The movie theater's right over there - " James started to say when a loud screeching and grinding noise interrupted him. He looked around, startled. Then he dove to the ground, yelling, "DUCK!"

Raven fell fast to the ground, narrowly missing the metal girder. "What the hell?!"

James was on his feet in an instant and held out a hand to Raven. "The construction workers must have come back and started working again! ...Though I can't imagine why..."

"Lunch break." Raven muttered, taking his hand. She stood up and then said," We really need to get the hell out of here, before they notice us."

"Exit's over there." James pointed to a chain-link gate. "And no, not their lunch break. Today was supposed be their day off!"
