Hi Ann. I just recently finished reading the first 3 Sirantha Jax novels. Today I finished up Blue Diablo and can say that I really enjoy both series. I love your writing style. I am very much looking forward to reading Enclave as well. I am an avid reader and belong to several book related websites.
Looking forward to following the discussions here.
Hey, Wendy, I'm so thrilled to hear this! And it's great to meet you. I think the chat will be lots of fun.
Hi Ann, I just finished Grimspace last week and can't wait to start Wanderlust this weekend! I look forward to reading more of your books and following this discussion!
Hi, can't wait to read more of the samantha jax series, I know there is or could be more to that series!
Hi Ann, I live in northern Texas and am relatively new to books of fantasy, UF and the paranoral. I've read four of the books in the Sirantha Jax series. The universe you created for the Jax series was new to me and very well done. I liked most of the characters and the ones I didn't like, I wasn't supposed to like. I have 'Blue Diablo', but haven't read it yet. My to-be-read pile is way too large. I love buying the books, but obviously can't read as fast as I buy. I guess I have a book stash to go along with my cross stitch stash and quilting stash!
Hi Ann! It's great to meet you. :) I live in Pennsylvania with my family, two goofy German Shepards, and a cat that rules the world from my bedroom. But, I have read the Corine Solomon series and really enjoyed them. I'll be reading Shady Lady here in about a week for the blog chat I do with a fellow blogger. And we just read the First Jax book, enjoyed it! So the rest of the series is definitely in the works for the chat as well.
So with such an amazing track record on the books, I had to rush out and get Enclave. Can't wait to dig into it too.
Thank you for having this chat! Really great. :)
Hi Shazzy, I'm thrilled to meet you! I'm looking forward to going to London myself in the next year or so. I'm also very pleased to hear you enjoy the Jax books.
Hi Ann,I discovered your books via Felicia Day's reviews. I'm a huge fan. I think they just keep getting better. Jax is my favorite but the Corine Solomon books are catching up in my opinion (oh, and of course I love the variety of characters in the Skin series).
I'm a reader, a gamer, and all around geeky/nerdy chick. So it's great to have an author who knows about those interests!
Oh, that's so cool! Yeah, I'm totally a gamer, though I will admit that I am super bummed by Dragon Age 2. Now there's literally nothing I want to play this year. I'm eyeing Mass Effect 3 with suspicion because I didn't love ME2, either. Sigh.
Time to replay Dragon Age: Origins again and fall in love with Alistair for the millionth time.

Hiya Ann,Belinda in Brisbane, Australia here. I'm a Mum of one kiddo (she's 9 going on 30), and two Fur babies, (both rescue cats).
I was given the chance to read Enclave to review for burnbright.com.au in January and loved every page.
In a twist of fate, TV programmers here played the documentary you mention in the authors notes the night I finished reading. I could really feel where you were coming from both before and after the docco.
Kudos for a well written book.
Oh wow, that's so cool! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the book and I liked your review. I'm also pleased you got to see Life After People. It's fascinating, isn't it?
Life After People really made me think. I've always wondered what people would make of the useless 'stuff' we treasure today once civilization reemerges.
Wouldn't it be a hoot if the stuff we know about the devices from ancient times was so wrong?
I've wondered about that myself, honestly. And yeah, it would be pretty funny if some of that information we have is incorrect because it's predicated on our sociological patterns.
I know exactly what you mean about ME2. I constantly go back to the first one. I love the various story arcs of the whole world and just the conversations you can get into with other people. I admit I think ME has a lot to do with why I started the Jax series. And I feel like you've crafted a world just as amazing as ME - perfect for a game? ;)I recently started Dragon Age: Orgins for the first time.
I loved ME. ME2, the only redeeming feature was that you could have weird romances with aliens. Which I did like. But otherwise? There was no story apart from building the team. You get your team together and then go fight a Transformer. Go, team. But I will admit that I didn't hate ME2 as much as I hated DA2. I feel actively ripped off with the latter.
Hope you love DA:O as much as I do!

What's the time difference from the Phillippines to Mexico? My husband spent some time there as a kid. He had friends who lived there.
Hello Ann, I just finished Killbox a couple of days ago. I loved it all but I have to tell you that I cried a couple of times while I was reading it. I can't wait for the next one. My all time favorite charactor of your books has to be Vel. I have Shady Lady on my bookshelf just waiting for me to have a good time to read it.
Well I have hope, and the comforting thought that there is still another book after Aftermath. Is Endgame the final book in the Jax series or will you do more if your publisher wants to buy more?
I'm going to miss sci/fi world. It's the only series that i read that is sci/fi. All my other books are fantasy or urban fantasy.
I'm happy/sad. Happy I get to wrap up the arc on my terms; sad to say good-bye to my fictional friends.
But let's face -- Jax has earned her rest.

Thats for sure. About your new series. Is it only a trilogy or will be more books. I haven't bought it yet but it's on my to do list. Also is 5 the lucky number for the Cornine books.
Anna, are you talking about my YA series? That's a trilogy.
Joy, thank you so much! I love Jax and March too.

Just waving hi, Ann! I cannot wait for Aftermath :) You gave me a change of heart about first-person and following a series about the same lead character--I swore I disliked both, but after hearing so many good things about your writing, I broke down and started Grimspace. It was completely amazing. And now I try to hold off on reading each installment as its released, but usually can't manage that. Then I spend the rest of the year longing for the next release. I'm thankful you have a couple different series I can follow in the meantime :)
Wow, I'm so pleased to hear this. It's bittersweet, knowing that the next book I write will be Jax's last. How crazy is that? By September I will have finished a series!
