How do you choose your subject of writing? It is very intriguing! I find my ideas mostly by reading books or even in dreams! It sounds surreal, but it's true! XD

For my longer pieces they usually come to me in dreams or I'm inspired by another book where I don't think the author of that book did their topic justice. In such a case I'm sometimes inspired to write something similar with my own characters, plot, rules to the world, etc.

But dreams are an excellent source of inspiration.

I tend to just write what comes out to varying degrees of success. Sometimes I like what I've done and others I don't but it's all valuable experience.
