What traits do you treasure in a character? What creates a bond between you and your character that makes it impossible for you to stop reading, that makes you cry or laugh?

hmmm.... first of all lemme say nice question, i mean questionZ!
I like a character whos brave, humorous, kinda like dimitri in VA, and ofcourse a character whos hot!
The bond...hmm....the character cant be predictable, the character cant have a cold heart, the character needs to have a warm trusting heart, and idk lol, i would never stop reading a book if the character is entertaining, interesting, unpredictable, fun, awesome, nice and yeah....lol

Stark - HON (Although im over the books.)
Lincoln - Embrace
Damon - Vampire Diaries. (TV show)
Sam - Shiver
Christophe - Strange Angels
Ash and Puck - The Iron King

I am sick of writing them already. haha they are some examples. I love nice guys (Sam, Dimitri), but at the same time I like the bad boys, with the whole hiding my true feelings beneath my hard tough guy exterior. :) (Like Patch and Jace)

I like the characters (guys/and/or/girls) to be funny, nice, different, easily able to connect and feel what they feel, happy, sad, fun, unpredictable and entertaining.
