well we believe in god but we also believe in other goddesses and gods
the spells we do are almost completely earth based like we use flowers and oils and candles to represent the elements and the spells we do are used for good like to get rid of nightmares and things like that
we do not do black magic like some people think my boyfriend once asked me if i could turn him into a toad ( i swear he watches too many cartoons xD )
and we do not summon the devil like some people think i personally dont believe in the Christan devil or hell
theres a lot of cool spells like a "do you love me?" spell and theres spells to get rid of acne and theres spells to get rid of depression
nothing we do is demonic though i can understand why some people believe it is
oh and there's a difference between magic and magick <----- that took me a while to figure out

i am far from evil and witchcraft is not evil black magick and the black arts are evil spells meant to harm other people are evil
and just because im wiccan does not mean i deserve to be hung

How is it creepy? I find Wicca to be a beautiful and fascinating religion. It is in no way evil, either. Be a little more open-minded Gabriel.

Okay, The reason that people think we worship the devil is because of the Catholic Church in the 1400s, who saw Wicca as a threat and made lies about it. Learn your history, people. Wicca doesnt even belive in the devil. That is a Christian Myth to scare little children.

When I was researching Wicca, I believe it said the Catholic Church gave the devil horns because the pagans worshiped "The Horned God" who had antlers, and the Catholics wanted people to think it was really the devil they were worshiping. I have nothing against catholics or christians or any other relegion, but it does make me sad and angry that the ones back then spread such lies and misinformation.

You'd probably be surprised to learn how most of the holidays and traditions we celebrate today are derived from the pagans.

A lot of wiccans use Tarot (pronounced Tare-oh) cards, though you don't have to be wiccan to use them.

@Jasmine as far as the acne spell goes, I haven't tried that. And I disagree a bit with Angelus. If you want to preform a spell to help yourself or your family, like an acne spell or skin spell, then I think that's fine. You can preform spells for wealth, prosperity, love, etc, though there are rules. Importantly, you must NEVER mess with someones free will, which is why Wiccans don't use love spells on people. They do on occasion, however, use spells to attract love into their life, without naming anyone specific.

Also, you must never be too greedy, which is probably what Angelus means by self-gain. I think you can preform spells to help make your life AND other people's lives better, but always be thankful and don't take or ask for more than you need.

Note! None of the spells worked, they all backfired on me because it was for self-gain!!!!!
