The Book Loved By Everyone But You discussion

Can't read them without rolling my eyes.

I agree about Nicholas Sparks (not familiar with the other author). I think many of his books are contrived, sappy, and saccharine. I hated Dear John!

I thought that Nicholas Sparks just writes the same stories with different names. None of them have anything particularly spectacular to them

I know this discussion is old but I just found it today, I absolutely hated Nicholas sparks "dear john" I just found it really pathetic.
I'm also stuck on page 539 of I know this much is true by Wally Lewis , I liked the rest of the book but I cannot drum up any interest in the grandfathers trip from Italy to America, totally boring! God he ruined this book putting in that chapter!
