Roy sat on the window ledge, staring out at her future realm. "Betrothed." the word sat in her head and replayed over and over and over..... She couldn't believe her father thought Luke was a "nice young gentleman." "He was, well, he was....He was just Uuugh!" Roy thought.
Being a new Faerie, Zoe was small. tiny. minuscule. As small as a Pixie. She flew up to the tall window ledge and sat next to Roy's hand. She was as tiny as her thumb. Zoe sighed.
"Hi Zoe" said Roy. "What's going on in the pixie world?"
"Well, first of all, I'm a faerie." Zoe said stubbornly. "And second, just boring old, gossip that's never true."
"My apologies. Why are you all the way over here, anyways?" Roy asked Zoe.
"Bored." Zoe replied. "And I'm sick of hearing other older faeries blabber about nothing."
"Yeah. I wish older people took time to think about peoples feelings. Like my father." Roy said. She sighed.
"So." Zoe said casually. "What up?"
"Haven't you heard? I'm betrothed." Roy said, with obvious disgust.
"Blegh." Zoe said. "Yuck. But I didn't know, 'cause I don't keep up with gossip."
"Then you have a lot to learn. So many things have happened in the past few days. It's making my head spin." said Roy.
"Guess, just guess who I have to...to..well, to...marry." said Roy.
***Jag's POV***
Jagran walked casually down the hallway. He soon passed Luke along the way. He was surrounded by at least several girls. what a player. Jag scoffed. He didn't deserve a girl like Roy.
"Hey Jag!" Luke called. Jag couldn't help but wince. No matter how hard he tried to avoid the guy he still was able to find him. "Yes sir?" He replied. Luke sauntered up to him with a girl on each arm and several trailing behind. "The lord wishes to see you in the meeting room." Luke said with a yawn. "I don't know how you can handle all the meetings and strategies. They quite dull."
"Well I'm sorry you disagree my lord. If you'll excuse me." Jag said trying to get out of there.
Jag finally squeezed past the crowd of ladies and continued down the hall. why would the king wish to see me? Jag thought. All wars had been fought. All lands conquered. The land was peaceful. The king himself had warned Jag that his services might not be necessary anymore.
Jag soon crossed Roy's room. He stopped by the door as he heard voices inside.

Zoe's little radar of other people close by went off. "Gotta go! she said quickly and dove off the window ledge to hide under it.
Jag knocked on the door.
"Come in." said Roy, after seeing Zoe was gone.
"Your highness?" Jag asked. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine." said Roy, confused. Why would Jag think she wasn't?
Zoe was thankful at the moment that she was as tiny as Roy's thumb.
"I heard voices in your room, that's all. But if you are alright, I shall leave you to your privacy." Jag said politely.
"Wait." said Roy to Jag. She looked at Zoe as if to say: should I tell him?
Zoe shook her head urgently.
"Ummm...Nice shirt." said Roy. She was thinking about pulling the can-you-fetch-me-some-water line, but that one always made her feel selfish.
Jag looked at his princess curiously. "Uh... Thank you... I suppose..." He replied, confused. "You're lucky I know when to leave you to your own matters." He said with a sigh. "But shirts are new compared to the water." He muttered. "Very well then your majesty, if that is all." He said, closing the door behind him.
Jag sighed. Sometimes he really worried about Roy.
"Oh." thought Roy. "I hope I didn't make him feel bad." That was one thing Roy didn't like about being royalty. Everyone was polite to you, and they couldn't just hang, and talk. People below her social class were always on hand and knee for her. Roy felt that useless. "I can do stuff for myself." Roy thought aloud.
"Is he gone?" Zoe hissed from beneath Roy, only loud enough for Roy to hear.
Roy nodded.
Zoe breathed a sigh of relief and flew back onto the ledge next to Roy's hand.
"So...Guess! Who am I betrothed to." said Roy, excited only to talk.
Zoe rolled her eyes. She already knew, kinda, because she heard a few faeries saying Luke betrothed to a princess. "Who?" She asked sarcastically.
"I thought you didn't keep up with gossip." said Roy, grinning. She looked out at the village below. "I wish I could just walk down there, like a normal person. Not in a parade. No confetti. Just me without anybody knowing it was me." Roy told Zoe.
Roy sighed. Her eyes were slowly drawn to the door. She had planned to go out for months, but all for nothing. Roy wished she had the guts. She wanted to go. Today.
Suddenly, a thought popped into Roy's mind.
"I need to see Father, at once!" Roy said, wondering why Zoe had been so quiet. "Hey." said Roy, still looking at Zoe, "I've got an idea."
***Jag's POV***
Jag sighed. Sometimes he really worried about Roy.
Jag soon quietly entered the meeting room where the king and several of his major generals were assembled. He waited until they were all done conversing. Jag had been hired when he was only a boy. trained to be a soldier. When he first saw the princess he was amazed. but it couldn't last, he was only a mortal human while she was the youthful young elf. And he was no more than a soldier after all. But his life as a soldier soon ended when others learned his talent for strategy. He was soon made a commander of several fleets. His thoughts were brought back to the present as the king dismissed the others.
"Come closer Captain. I don't want too many people to hear this." The king ordered. Jag walked to the kings side where he sad in a velvet armchair. "We have a situation that concerns my daughter."
"What is it sir?" Jag asked worried. Roy's father sighed. "There is a rumor of war brewing. I just had a letter indicating a ransom. Several major towns have been under siege for the past few weeks." He explained. "What? Why didn't you tell me of this sir?" Jag asked. "Because I didn't want you worried. That's why." The king sighed. "Look Jag. You've been a major key to every peice of the kingdom here. You've planned our battles and their locations. You've helped plan the building of our castle."
"But what does this have to do with her highness?" Jag asked puzzled.
"They will destroy the town unless we bring her to Lord Baigan's keep in the north." the king explained. "They only want one escort. If they see any other warriors then they'll give the signal to destroy the cities. That's where you need to come in with a new strategy."
Jag was about to reply when there was a knock at the door. "Enter." The king sighed. A manservant opened the door with a letter in hand. "This came for you this morning sire." he said.
"Thank you." The king dismissed him after grabbing the sealed letter. "This will be a new one, I think."
((I can post all of it, cuz we might get confused because we're posting from the wrong places......))

***Kristi's POV***
Kristalynn looked above at the castle looming over her and wondered. She had heard that the princess was betrothed recently...
Shaking her head, Kristi walked on along the stone road. The princess was the princess and she had her own worries, anyway.
She thought while walking. She had never exactly seen the princess up close before, just from afar in parades and whatnot. Unfurling her wings and stretching them, she thought of flying but decided against the urge.
She paused and looked up at the castle again. What if she could get in for just a day? One day would be more than enough, she was sure. She had no knowledge of any royalty running through her veins. Heck, she didn't even know who her parents were, but she could take care of herself easily. She peered up again, her keen eyesight catching in every stone as she considered the possibility of turning into a servant and sneaking in. It seemed wrong, though...the two sides of her brain fought against each other over the issue.
She could already feel her features changing shape--not that it wasn't an unpleasant experience. No, she thought suddenly, stopping herself. Not today, not ever. She swiftly faded back to her regular appearance, walking quickly while looking at the ground. Don't you ever do that again, she scolded herself. You weren't born in a castle; you were never meant to be in one.
Kristi accidentally bumped into a girl next to her. "Sorry," she apologized quickly, her usually velvety voice a little tainted with embarrassment.
"It's fine," Hazel said, as she stood up and cut an apple off a nearby tree.
Kristalynn was about to walk away again, but she looked at the girl more closely. "I...have I seen you before?" she asked, a little hesitant.
"I don't think so..." Hazel said as she bit into the apple, "Not unless you read the newspaper."
"The newspaper?" Kristi said, looking at her strangely. "As a matter of fact, I don't." She sighed, shaking her head. "No, I'm sure I saw you during a parade or something..." she said, trailing off.
"Ok then," Hazel shrugged. "See ya."
***Hazel***
Hazel slid into the crowded marketplace. She looked around and stole a bag while the shop owner was making a sale. She chucked a fireball at a booth and ran away from the spreading fire. She ran away, while she threw another fireball. By this time the town was completely covered in fire.

***Roy and Zoe***
Suddenly, a thought popped into Roy's mind.
"I need to see Father, at once!" Roy said, wondering why Zoe had been so quiet. "Hey." said Roy, still looking at Zoe, "I've got an idea."
"Hide in my pocket, Zoe. I have to talk to my father. I need a new hand maid." said Roy, grinning mischievously. "One who knows the city very...very well." Roy looked at Zoe, hoping she would catch on.
Zoe stared at Roy, confused, but she obeyed Roy.
Roy knocked on her Father's door.
"Come in." the king answered annoyed. He held the letter in his hand unopened. Jag turned to see Roy and Oliver both enter the room. His eyes brightened a little. "Ah, Oliver, you're just the one I wanted to see. But why are you here, my daughter?"
"Oh..... uh...." said Roy, realizing how busy it was. she paused a little.
"Ummm...I was wondering if I could go down to the city, for educational purposes, but I see I'll have to talk to you about this later." Roy finally said.
"No, That would do very well for you to get some fresh air. Take the carriage and I'll round a patrol for you." Jag offered.
"Well..." Roy was hoping to go alone, so she was a little disapointed. But then, feeling poor Zoe, still in her pocket, she had another idea. "Sure. Let me go grab my bag."
"Very well then. Oliver, if you would escort my daughter today, I shall talk to you later." Johnathan((the king)) dismissed.
Seeing that her first plan, about the hand maid, was spoiled, she now needed the help of someone else. "Before I leave, I need to see Jag in my room, for a moment." said Roy.
Johnathan nodded. "I shall see the two of you later then. You have my leave to go." He dismissed. Jag and Oliver bowed before leaving the meeting room. "Oliver. Go and round up some men." Jag ordered. "What did you wish to see me for madame?" Jag asked Roy, turning to her.

***Zoe (and others)***
Zoe felt uncomfortable in Roy's hot and sweaty pocket. Her wings were staring to get a little damp..... ugh.... she thought. I don't think I can fly after this......
Roy, once again in her room, let Zoe free of her pocket. Then seeing Jag was there, put her in the other.
Jag closed the door behind him not noticing the fairy fly past him. "Your majesty?"
"Um..... uh......I need to borrow a pair of your cheaper clothes." Roy said quickly, feeling a little silly.
"What?" He asked confused.
Zoe crossed her arms unhappily in the hot and sweaty pocket.
"Why would you wish for that ma'am?" He asked, bewildered."Your father would not have it."
"Well, let's just say today I'm gonna do what I've always wanted to do, and in order to do that I need.....a pair of your clothes, the cheaper kind, preferably." said Roy, growing a shade of red. This was embarrassing.
"I cannot have that my lady. First I do not own a peasants wear... and..." He paused for a second. "Your father would have my head if done so!" Jag concluded. He had lied about the clothing, he sometimes needed information that only a peasant could hear, but it was true that he would possibly lose his life if the princess was in a commoners clothes.
Kathy went down the corridor looking for someone to hang out with. She heard two voices arguing in the princess's room so she peeked in.
The door opened a crack to Roy's room. Jag turned to the door.
"Um, uh, sorry!" Kathy said her eyes turning purple and her cheeks turning red.
"Who are you?" Jag questioned.
Roy didn't want Jag's head on a platter. This was frustrating. Smoke started coming in through the window. Roy rushed over and saw the whole town ablaze. "Urgh." Roy said, and started to weep.
"What is it princess?" Jag asked, whirling. He ran to her side. Looking out the window he saw the village in flames. "oh no..." he muttered.

((I'm in the middle of pg 3 now!))
***everyone!***
Hazel looked through a castle window and saw the princess weeping.
Zoe was very uncomfortable now. Especially with smoke in the air.
"Your majesty. We must leave here. The flames will reach us soon." Jag warned.
"Uh well......" Kathy started."I'm supposedly the castle witch but I don't really think that description fits me." she frowned. "More like 'Invisible Nobody' but who really cares." Kathy said, her answer kinda late. Her eyes were on the verge of tears.
Hazel ducked inside through the castle window.
"First that awful betrothal, now this!" Roy said and looked up at Jag for instructions.
Zoe couldn't stand it any more. She zoomed out of Roy's pocket, but since her wings were damp, she fluttered in the air for a second or two, but fell.
"Oh a fairy! Or are you a Pixie? " Kathy exclaimed, with a curious tone.
"Faerie." Zoe squeaked.
"Zoe!" Roy shouted. Now everything was ruined, including her secret, her only joy. Roy started to cry even harder.
Hazel tapped Roy's shoulder."Hello," she said. grinning evilly as she made a fireball.
Hazel threw a fireball on the floor and the castle started to burn.
"Get away from her!" Jag yelled pulling Hazel away from Roy.
Hazel smiled evilly. "Too late." The castle was clearly on fire now.

Kristi whipped around. The castle was on fire. She ran quickly through the flames, following the voices. The flames had no effect on her skin or breathing. "Wha...Did you start this?" she said icily, pointing to Hazel.
Shaking her head, Kristi turned into a large feathery bird, sucking up flames through her beak, leaving burnt floors behind.
Kathy used her necromancy to kill some of the fire. "I'm gonna need a lot more power if we're gonna stop this thing!" she yelled over the roar of everything.
Roy grabbed Jag's arm and ran to her Father's office. "Father, the castle and the town is on fire!"
Hazel tossed another fireball over her shoulder and jumped out the window.
After Kristlaynn extinguished some of the fires, she leaped out the window after Hazel. "Get back here..." she called, duplicating herself and sending them off the search from the sky.
Hazel ran through the forest and threw fireballs at Kristlaynn, and then she threw a few more fireballs at the castle.
Kathy still sucked up the leftover fire. "Thanks one-who-I-don't-know-your name!" she yelled after Kristlaynn.
"You're welcome!" Kristi called, her voice echoing back to the window as she flew through the fireballs. "I thought you'd figure out by now," she said to Hazel calmly. "Fire has no effect on me."
Even though Hazel couldn't hear her she yelled; "Stop doing that you stupid elf!" Kathy kept killing the flames but couldn't keep up with them.
Hazel winced as she drew her sword and attacked Kristi.

***Kristi and Hazel***
Seeing that Kathy was having trouble with the growing fire, Kristi sent a duplicate back to help. Ugh... she thought. "Guess it's better if you fight someone your own size," she grinned, changing into an exact copy of Hazel. She dodged with equal quickness and accuracy.
Hazel slashed at Kristi with a complicated series of moves.
Kristi-as-Hazel lunged back with something equally complicated. She jumped onto a tree and changed again into her old self, narrowly avoiding a strike to the head.
Hazel leaped onto a tree, threw a fireball in Kristi's face and disappeared.
Kristalynn blew her bangs from her face, not bothering to look. That kid was sneaky. Probably a thief or something. Justice would catch up with her later. She looked up at the burnt castle, not sure what to do.
Hazel made it to her hideout and laid down.
Kathy was getting desperate now. "Princess, anyone, help!!!" she yelled.
Kristi peered closely. The fire was still there? Ugh.
She flew up, spotting Kathy. "Are you okay?" she called, getting rid of the flames. "Do you need any water?"
