Isn't it weird that three of the kids died in freak accidents within a few years of finding the body. And if I remember correctly, Gordie mentions that he is suffering from severe headaches that doctors can't explain. Does this imply that Gordie will soon fall victim to this possible curse?

I don't think so. I think that they all died in accidents. if it was a curse stephen king would have given us a bigger clue.
Ya i agree with Malin, I think King would've made it more obvious. Good question though.http://divaliciouzbookreviews.blogspo...
I also think the accidents are symbols of the fact that their (Teddy and Verne) lives weren't really going anywhere. They were just moving from one day to the next (drowning, as he described). For Chris, I think it was about the fact that his life couldn't go anywhere. He was sort of screwed from birth and no matter how hard he tried, there was no getting around it.
Nah, Chris got a real good job as a lawyer or something, didn't he? (Haha, been a while :)) He did get round it.
The curse is an interesting concept, though. Oh the possibilities! Guess we just have to imagine and conclude ourselves...

No, I believe it wasn't a curse and I agree with Daniel that Teddy and Verne's accidents went with the fact that they did nothing with their lives and their accidents did not make you sad like Chris's murder because Chris did make something of himself and his life did go somewhere, so his death was much more heartbreaking.
its a bummer that chris dies since he actually manages to escape
To call it a curse is a bit of a stretch, but King does highlight the fact that the goocher (flipping all tails) is considered real bad luck. Yes all four get it the first time, but the second time Gordie is cleared with a head, and the other three flipping tails a second time is still a goocher. Maybe that was a sly way of King foreshadowing death, or maybe if that was his intention he would have made their curse a little more obvious to the reader. You can decide for yourself.

I've always thought he probably was dealing with the same thing in his own life.
