Stacey In the order that I read them:

1. Left Neglected by Lisa Genova
2. The Lonely Polygamist by Brady Udall
3. Columbine by Dave Cullen
4. This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Trooper
5. Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith

and I also loved Goumet Rhapsody by Muriel Barbery. I was reluctant about this one because I couldn't even finish The Elegance of the Hedgehog.

Mary | 236 comments I got really bogged down early in the year so have only read three that stand out enough to list:

1. Left Neglected by Lisa Genova
2. Still Missing by Chevy Stevens
3. The Lotus Eaters by Tatjana Soli

I think I'm really going to love this question -- hope lots of people answer!

Gretchen (gkonkler5) 1. Little Princes: One Man's Promise to Bring Home the Lost Children of Nepal by Conor Grennan

oooo, Mary. I have The Lotus Eaters. I totally forgot about it.

message 5: by Mary (new)

Mary | 236 comments The Lotus Eaters was a strange one for me, Stacey. I LOVED parts of it, but I felt other parts were sort of confusing and/or blah. I went up and down a lot in it, but overall I really liked it and am very glad I read it.

Gretchen, I have a good friend who was crazy about the Kate Atkinson books you mentioned. She also really liked the newest one -- think it's called Left Early, Took my Dog, or something close to that.

I'm glad you said the audios are good because I could NOT get into Case Histories. I'll definitely give the audios a try.

message 7: by Melki (new)

Melki Aaaa! I can only come up with two!
1. Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand
2. Devil in the White City by Erik Larson
How odd that they're both nonfiction...unusual for me.
I've been meaning to start the Kate Atkinson series.
Waiting for "Lonely Polygamist" to come out in ppbk.
I'll have to choose books more wisely in the future.

Stacey I had to keep a notebook handy so I could jot down notes. Some "cases" characters come back back at later date in book and helped to referesh my memeory.
