Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 101 comments We will be starting an Author Q&A Series on the Readers Against Prejudice and Racism group. If you are an author who has made addressing these issues in society an important emphasis of your published writing, we'd love to host a Q&A session for you. Your books can be either fiction or non-fiction.

If you are interested, please sign up in this thread, and we will contact you with more information. The goal is to get the sessions up and running in July.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 101 comments Thanks for signing up, Steve. We will probably contact you via the private inbox system on Goodreads.

Kathy Davie (kathydavie) | 100 comments So, what I'm curious to know, is what set y'all off on this thread...?

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 101 comments Kathy, the goal is to get a dialogue going with writers in this area of interest and to see what they are doing in their writing to help address these issues.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 101 comments Thanks to our first two guinea pigs! We are working away behind the scenes to put this together, and I promise you will be contacted when we get things organized for the Q&A series.

Kathy Davie (kathydavie) | 100 comments Oh sorry, I meant to address this to the authors as to why they chose to write about prejudice, etc...

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 101 comments Still looking for intrepid writers to sign up. I will try to get a questions list to those who sign up by the beginning of next week. Thanks!

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 101 comments Steve's Q&A forum is up. Please drop by to get to know Steve and participate in the discussion.

Ruth Madison (ruthmadison) | 20 comments Kathy, I think for me, I want my books to be meaningful. I write because there is a passion to improve the world and this is the only medium I know how to use!

I've written a book about a girl with a sexual difference in the hopes of showing that she is a human being and that having a fetish is not something that people choose and that it's wrong to treat her like a freak or a monster.

I've written a non-fiction book under a different name that is about my experiences as a non-Indian Hindu and my firm belief that all of humanity is one family and we should not divide ourselves.

I'm preparing now to write a science-fiction romance in which there is an inter-racial love.

All of these stories are a way to share my worldview, and I hope to open some eyes about prejudices that people might not even be aware of having.

Robert H. (turnup85) | 3 comments I don't know if I'm too late or even in the right space; but recently I published "Our Road To Hatred—How We Raise our Bullies." It was written because some new, unheralded, science about humanity sheds a completely different light on the origins of hatred and discrimination. Understanding the roots of this despicable behavior enables us to convincingly address solutions as opposed to simply arguing and trying to change minds.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 101 comments Hi Robert. Welcome. We're not doing the Author Q&A series right now. You can post about your book under author promotions section though.
