Lucas. Their relationship has an intensity that she wont ever really be able to walk away from and even if she does it will be all that she will think about. She will always be longing for the feelings she gets with him. They have history and no matter how nice or convenient Derek's feelings might be it wont be enough.

I'll go with Lucas too. He seems.... fascinating.

I'm so confused! I loooved Derek for basically the whole book, then she went and made out with Lucas and now I have no idea who I want her to be with.
But, I think I'm going to have to go with Lucas. I think Derek would be a really good friend, but he could never be more. Plus, he's a little boring. Lucas is so... mysterious and awesome:)

Lucas is the past protector and the possible future, I would realy like to see that. I think they have more in common too.

I would go with Derek. He is more intuned with her emotions, plus Lucas ran off with another girl.

I'm not sure which I like better. If I was Kylie I would have a hard time choosing. I might go with Derek though because in the end you always have to go through so much (insert whichever swear word you like here) in order to be together and she'd have to do that with Lucus. We love the fight that the heronie goes through in books but in reality, I would like nice and simple. So more and likely I'd go for sweet and simple. Derek would be my guy. :)

I like Derek, hes adorable BUT I really like Lucas.

Ok I want to say both I like Derek because he was patient with Kylie and her mixed feelings but i just have to say Lucas I like him and more when he replaced her kitten.

I am team Lucas all the way!!!!!!!!!! I think in Awake At Dawn that Kylie and Lucas will start up a relationship together. And i know for a fact that he comes back and her and Derek start to pull apart. All that is in the summery of the book, so i dont know maby they will suprise me. I hope Kylie will find out what kind of supernatural she is in Awake at Dawn, that might help her out.

Lucas, has captivated her heart ever since they were kids. Sure when they were younger it was not love but they have always remembered each other and the way they both cannot seem to stay away from one another even in the brink of danger shows passion. Derek may have her attention while Lucas is gone but how far will that go? He reminds her of her EX and that will not last long when she realizes she cannot replace her EX with a look a like. Lucas will have to come back and sweep her off her feet before Derek gets to comfortable.

Why you ask?

There's more passion in their relationship, a history for one and more emotion in general, also the fact that I think because of all the drama between him and a certain slut (cough: Fredricka) plauses the idea for a more interesting plotline.

But hey, that's just my opinion.

Dereck is too safe for Kylie. She needs a challange; something exciting. I'm all for Lucas...Plus, I have a thing for guys with black hair. Don't ask why. ;P

Lucas. Derek puts up a good fight, but as we've seen so many times, what you want and what you should want are very different things.

Lucas does seem to be the better suited guy for Kylie and her personality. I too look forward to see more of his character in the next book.
With Derek I find him boring too..he doesn't capture much interest in me and I really find him as a friend and that's about it..

For some reason, I have a thing for sweet boys. Derek is SOOOOOOOOOO sweet!! And he reminds me a lot of Puck from The Iron Fey series. Don't ask me why. But, Derek seems so protective of Kylie, and I think that's what she needs. She needs someone to be strong for her, like Derek. But not so strong that she can be killed, like what COULD happen with Lucas. For now, I'm siding with Derek. We'll see what happens next. I'm not officially on a team yet. I need to read the rest of the series. So, if Kylie doesn't end up with Derek, I'll take him. =)

I can't remember the last time I had such trouble deciding which romantic pairing I was hoping for...normally, for me anyway, there's a clear winner, a front runner. In this book, I've swung back and forth so many times.

From the beginning I was Team!Derek all the way, because he was so sweet and friendly. And I *LOVED* the lengths he went to to ensure he got to spend time with her. The comment about major testosterone (from Della I believe) had my stomach doing flip flops. And don't even get me started on that almost kiss on the rock... *sighs*

Then there's Lucas. He just kind of smoulders, doesn't he? He also went to lengths where Kylie was concerned, to look out for her, even if it meant pushing her away. She might not have understood but it was clear as day to me. :) Their kiss in the water... WOW. My stomach was all a flutter and I held my breath when I read that. Seriously hot. *fans self*

Derek protecting her from the line, and then their kiss? Hot as hell.

Lucas giving her the kitten? So adorable.

There's equal sweet and sexy traits in both love interests and that's what makes choosing one over the other so hard.

I can't decide. I honestly can't. I love them both and I'm split down the middle as to who should end up with her.

I honestly think Lucas is one of the hottest fictional characters out there. So Derek.. because Lucas is mine. ;)

They are both great characters but totally Lucas! He cares about her (I think more than Derek) and Derek is just too safe and was a horrible friend to her when she needed it at most during her continuos identity crisis

I've always been partial to werewolves so i have to go Lucas. He is so hot and their kiss was amazing and he was so sweet in the end. I liked that they have a secret past.

Lucas until the last book. They are both a challenge for those who believe Derek would be boring. He is a healer, he senses and responds to her emotions, he makes her feel safe but at the same time nervous, jumpy and very attracted to him.

I loved Lucas until the last book - I thought his stupidity in getting betrothed to another woman was immensely dissapointing.

I dont know.. seeing as i like them bouth. but i think id have to go with Derek. Just beacause at the end of Taken at Dusk. Lucas became like all controling and stuff. were Derek actally helps her finger things out and can clame her down a lot easyer than Lucas can. but i also Love Lucas to.

Lucas! Definitely, if Dereck really liked he wouldn't have let jealousy get in the way of them, so Kylie is obligated to move on to...as the book say's "Smokin' hot werewolf, Lucas". ;)

Derek all the way, Derek loves Kylie for Kylie. Lucas wants her to be a Were and doesn't accept her for who she is. Not to mention this whole over protectiveness, Kylie is by no means helpless, she doesn't need him having a go at her every time she has to do her ghost whispering duties. I mean talk about holding her back!
Any way Derek might still be a bit boyish but at least with him the best is yet to come.

Before I couldn't decide but then Derek got kind of... weird/secrative in the second book and I found that I didn't like him anymore so right now I am a team Lucas (That will probably change when I read the 3rd book but whatever)
