I think it should be legal. Despite what people say about "losing a life" or "killing a soul", what if the situation changes. What if a girl was raped, and she found out she was pregnant? What is she was under 18? It depends on the situation. People should have the right to choose their lifestyle.

Yeah, but what if YOUR mother had been raped? What if SHE had gotten an abortion because she was raped? Then you wouldn't even be here, would you?

well, then I wouldn't have known the difference, i'd I be fine...

Yeah, but what about all the people you have affected, what if you changed someones life, or even saved it without knowing it? Then that person's life would still be the way it was, OR the other person would've DIED because you weren't there.

Im not that important...you'd be surprised....I'm like, a loser and a nerd, but thats the way I am, and would I change that for the world? No! So, suck it popular people who told me what to do and I revolted like my little activist heart told me to do...Im fine being labeled as a "nerd",whatever that means, and thank GAWD i'm not dumber than a bag of hair...

This is a subject that hits close to home, though...you might as well have options, right?

Clarinet, You are important, you are more important than you know. You are here for a reason, one that may have not been realized yet. You are IMPORTANT. Period. End of story.

i'm a Lutheran which is just a form of Christianity, and i hate to say it, but i'm going to...I kind of pick and choose what to believe out of the bible. I mean, who says its ALL right.
Here's another situation. What if your child had a severe brain malfunction, and when they lived, if they lived, they would be deformed and have brain problems, and probably wouldn't live a happy life. Do you want that fate for your child? Do you want to expose him/her to that?

It never feels like it....just...never....

I never said that....I mean, like severly handicapped people...I believe what I believe, and this is what I think. I mean, am I going to have an abortion when the baby is perfectly healthy, nothing is wrong, i'm of a certain age? No! A child is a gift, but if you aren't ready for it, then you should either have an abortion or put your baby up for adoption.

Not everyone....not everyone changes their ways....

He is probably not going to live to his next birthday, he is six. SIX. He is a happy kid. I love him, he is always happy, always smiling and it's not the smile of a kid who is just smiling to make everyone else feeling good.

Ive noticed....and I respect people who do that....Like myself, when I was still a baby, I got screened for sists (sp?) on my brain, and yes I had some...they thought my mom might have to have an abortion...but, thenthey screened again and they were gone. Id rather be dead and not know what happened...personally...

exactly! Its not always right. what if you were having a baby and they found that the tests the doctors did saud thta the baby would have severe brain damage, there was an abortion and then the baby was examined and there was actually nothing wrong wih the baby, at all. You stopped the life of a perfectly healthy baby before its life could even begin.

This topic is always an interesting thing to debate over because it can always go both ways.
I believe that it should be up to the mother. If she can't handle giving birth to a baby, then that is understandable. And as Milady557 mentioned, a victim of being violated is almost sure that they will not want the baby...
Then again...MOST teen pregnancies and just pregnancies in general are all made by the mothers choice.

I think abortion should be legal. They don't kill the fetus if it is actually living. It is a big decision and I hope it will be made smartly other than a skank who refuses to wear condoms. My mom had an abortion and it shocked me I technically wasn't the oldest but I got over it

But, the one thing I would say that has to be a rule if you have an abortion is, if you are like 8 months in, you shouldn't be allowed, since the baby is almost ready, you know? Then, I think its wrong....

What would be the point of waiting to get the abortion until that far in anyway?

Maybe they weren't sure....and they wanted to hold onto it till the last second. I mean, when your 8 months along, its like you have a little person inside you....it matters to me then....

Sneaking in here... I am FIRMLY against abortion. I understand that a child would affect the mothers life greatly and I understand that it would be difficult if it was by rape but what about adoption? Imagine this:

Someone is deciding whether you should live or die at this very moment. You cannot do anything about it. It is completely up to them whether you die or not.

Not very appealing, eh? TONS of babies are in that situation right now. No matter how the child was conceived it is a human and it has rights to live. Remember, a persons a person. No matter how small. (some things from here are taken from another person point of view and speech on abortion so I don't take credit)

It's called adoption, yes. There should be an option to just not fill out the papers. Or just put the known parent(s)' name(s). There should be no need for the mile-long list of needed information.

The problem with abortion is that it is being used as a form of birth control. No one uses it for the case of the mother's life is in danger.

The baby is completely formed very early. The Bible says that God calls you a person before He even formed you in the womb. So let's not say that the baby is not a baby just because he or she is young.

I watched a video this evening about abortion and the woman who had been the director of a Planned Parenthood facility went into a procedure for some reason and the baby who was being aborted at 13 weeks pulled away from the instrument that was in the womb to destroy him. She knew that he was in a losing situation and he fought for his little life. The woman, after seeing this, resigned from her position at Planned Parenthood within one week.

The baby is living at the moment of conseption... It is living through it's mother..... I hate abortion and it is wrong but if they want to they can although I hate the idea... It's only far they choose..

What if it was going to kill the mother to have the baby? Why kill the mother who already knows life exists and is living a real life out in the world, than a baby who wouldn't know the difference? And it doesn't hurt the child! The child doesn't even know what pain is yet!

Thats why it is their decision... but normally that doesnt happen... That child could become the next president and ur destorying that

God knows its potential so it could be.. and the child is iniceant!!! And yes it was cuz from the moment of conseption it is!!

I dont think so....I do believe god makes our choices for us...I don't think we do ourselves, and whatever happens in our life was preplanned....but, personally, a child that was never born is just that. It never felt anything. And really it wasn't "alive" alive....

Hmmm, I have a hard time doing that....I mean, I'm NOT going to believe that gay people are sinners, and only a man and a woman should be together. Im NOT going to believe we all are sinners and a ton of bad stuff is going to happen. I'm NOT going to believe that abortion is wrong, you shouldn't kill a life or whatever. I have my reasons, and maybe this doesn't make me the "holyiest" christian out there, but I want to think what I want, and a passage from the bible isnt going to change that.

That's why if u don't like it than switch....... It's just what we think or should think.... That's what they tell us..

What if the mother would die if she had the baby? I'm not saying it'd be an easy decision to make BUT I still believe thata baby has deserves a chance to live. But, then again, the mother also should live, so in that situation I don't know what I would say.

And if a 12-year-old was raped? I know, you're going to think that I hat 12-year-olds or something but I really don't She needs to seek help from a friend or God even and try to make it through. That baby HAS A RIGHT TO LIVE.

And you're absolutely right. Women have rights, but the babies they carry do as well.

As for the baby not really being alive until after a few months, Yes. It is. I'm sorry but a baby is always alive. No matter how far into the pregnancy. Just because you can't see the baby does not mean that it isn't alive. Just because you can't detect a heartbeat or whatever, it's there and it's alive. And I bet, if you were that baby, then you would be against abortion.

Not meant to offend anyone but this is what I believe. This is what I belive and shall never stop arguing against.

No, my point is, if you were the baby, you woudn't know the difference. You dont know any better. Its more emotional for the mother, actually. Why am I the only for abortion?
