Use of the Death Note: you write the name of the person, when they die and how. You have 4 min and 60 seconds to change again before the time of death. If cause of death is not written, the victim will have a heart attack.

also, my shinigami has some very wierd and inventive origins.

A. Yes, you may have a human and a shinigami, but they cannot be together
B. Shinigamis have wierd origins anyways, so that's fine.

In the manga, or anime, their was an internal and mental battle which was what made this so interesting. Shouldn't their also be characters that aren't involved with the Death Note and characters who are out to capture those with a death note? It would make things more interesting than if there were just a bunch of people out their who could kill others. That is... in my opinion.
