New Academy discussion

Minoru walked into class

Sneering at the discomfort of learning with other students, much less other users, Carly briskly walked to an open desk in the math room. She chose one next to the window, in the middle. This made it so she wasn't too far front to be constantly at the teachers beck and call, drawing attention to herself, or in the very back, where the teacher would look down at her intelligence. She paid attention to no one as she stared forward. Oh how she begged to be back at her room, analyzing some of Litch's cells.
But no, she was stuck in a simple math class.
With people. Needless to say, she shivered.

Minoru quietly sat down in the middle of the front row keeping his normal emotionless expression

While she hated it, Carly couldn't help but notice a short boy sit down in the front of the class. Seriously, how old is that kid? I thought I'd be the youngest one here...
She eyed him suspiciously. Whoever he was, she wasn't going to lose to this brat. She was sure.

Minoru could feel Carly looking at him so he turned around and said

"I know what you're thinking, you want to be the best in the class and you see me as a threat to that" He said somewhat monotoneusly

For some reason, she smirked at him with her eyes narrowed when he spoke to her. Certainly by his words, he had her pinned, but, it were her own words that held a door open to her that she has never known.
"I see you as sad, emotionless, a mental wreck. There are no threats, only essences. There is no you, only me." She whispered the last part, since it was more for herself than anyone else.
Those were the words her Grandpa...
Snapping back into herself, Carly turns her head towards the window. She cuts her brief entrance into society short; cutting herself from the world once more.

Minoru turned back around to face the front of the classroom

Ellery entered the class room and took a seat near the windows.

The class was beginning to fill up with more people, disgusting Carly. True, she could ignore them, but what would happen if the teacher asks them all to introduce themselves?
Oh heaven, meet my hell....

Carly stared at the darkening sky.
This would be perfect weather for Litch to play...

Carly glanced at the Amazon-woman. "It's just a storm," she mumbled, "Just a shadow."

Irritated, Carly looked back towards the window, where the darkness started to fade. "Just...a storm..." she mumbled again. Her body ached as it receded, the lightening in her veins reacting somberly to the receding of the clouds.

"Where's the teacher?" Minoru muttered to himself

"Maybe your expression scared her off..." Carly mumbled to herself, gazing out the window, bored. The lightening ached where it use to flow. Whatever that darkness was, storm or not, it had affected her, something she didn't like.

Hearing the bell, Carly got up, taking her shoulder bag, and headed out of the classroom without even another glance at her "peers." Buts she smiled as she thought of spending her time now with Litch, not knowing who saw it.
As she walked farther away from the classroom and all those people, she became more comfortable, more relaxed. The fresh air now comforted her as she headed for her own dorm of solitude.
She could hear Litch barking already...
