Amazingly, I'm reading a book about her right now! It's "Truth and Beauty" by a friend of hers, Anne Pratchett. There are a lot of excerpts of Grealy's letters, and you can see her wit very much in them. Guess I'll have to read this next.

I just finished "Truth & Beauty" and as I read along, it made me lose interest in Lucy. Let us know if you liked her book.
I read both books. The thing that amazed me was that in Truth and Beauty, Anne Patchett painted their friendship like this wonderful thing. They seemed so close, almost like sisters. In Autobiography of a Face, Lucy didn't mention Anne at all, maybe once in passing. I thought that was a strange thing, since Anne's writing made thier friendship seem like a huge thing in both their lives. I kind of felt like Lucy was more important to Anne than Anne was to Lucy. That's just an observation I had... I thought both books were fantastic, though! And, if you like Anne Patchett's book, I would suggest reading The Patron Saint of Liars. It is excellent!
