LOVED these books! I was so sad when I finished the last one. It just made my day when I heard Rick Riordan was writing a spinoff series.
These are fun books. I laughed a lot. I didn't like The Lost Hero as much from the new series. It didn't seem as funny.
I've read the three first, and I'm waiting for the fourth one to arrive in the mail any day now. i think they're hilarious, and an easy read. It takes like a day to finish them, and that's too bad, 'cause it's a story I would be glad to spend a longer time reading.

I loved the two series a lot.
I have to agree with Abeo, the movie got it all wrong. And while i enjoyed the movie in its own right, I think they would have been better off not even calling it Percy Jackson, for all the changes they made to the storyline. I mean, to leave out Ares altogether, and make no mention of Kronos, the main antaogonist throughout the whole series, was just kind of stupid on thier part. Ther's no way for them to make a sequel now, which is disappointing :(
