I'm a little more than halfway through this one - it's different from Sparks' other books because it has a mystery and suspense part of it, aside from everything else he does well. What did you guys think? Let's not spoil it yet, cause I haven't finished it!!

I read The Guardian a few years ago. I really enjoyed this book too! I love the fact it had a mystery interwove without totally overwhelming NS's usual look at emotions and how people deal with things. I love it if he wrote a few more with a bit of mystery.
I totally agree, he should write more with the suspense and mystery - love and danger go together really well for books!
Well, all I can do is agree with everyone on "The Guardian" - well written, suspenseful, and unexpected - :)Doug
OMG! This book was so suprising, because it was so different from his others, but I actually really enjoyed it! I think Romance is his territory rather than thrillers though..
I too really enjoyed this book! "The Notebook" is still my favorite but "The Guardian" is a close second. I'd like to see more suspense/thriller from him.
