Dylan (dmfriend26) | 6 comments Hello I'm Dylan,
I'm new to Nicholas Sparks' novels and would like to say this: WOW! I just started reading Nights in Rodanthe, and I'm already on chapter 6! I saw The Notebook tonight as well; which made me want to read Nights in Rodanthe. I'd like to know a good book on his work to read. After Nights in Rodanthe of course. I was thinking of reading The Rescue, but what would you suggest?

message 2: by Brandie (new)

Brandie (brandiemichelle) The Rescue is really good. I would recommend A Bend in the Road, The Rescue, or The Guardian. They are all three my favorites.

I also really liked The Choice. It's hard to pick a favorite. I think you'll enjoy any of them!

Dylan (dmfriend26) | 6 comments Thanks, I'll do that. I'm going to get The Notebook, and The Rescue the next time I go to Hastings. :D

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 9 comments can I just say ditto to Brandie's list? I think those are all my favs too.

It is just so hard to choose the best - I certainly like Brandie's list, but I must add "A Walk to Remember." Perhaps, I am partial to that particular novel, because it was my first of Nicholas Sparks' novels I read. :)Doug

Stacy | 16 comments Hello Dylan! I really enjoyed reading A Bend in the Road, and The Guardian was really good as well. I'm currently reading True Believer, which from what i understand has a sequel out that i have to pick up then.

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 9 comments The sequal to True Believer is At First Sight

I read TB and was actually disappointed. That's the first time that has happend to me with a NS book. I'll probably still read AFS though.

Allison (theallisonnelson) | 31 comments I actually didn't love TB either - but I really, really liked At First Sight - it stuck with me for a while. Definitely try it!!

message 9: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 9 comments I'm glad to hear AFS was better. I won't be as reluctant to pick it up. Thanks.

Dylan (dmfriend26) | 6 comments Thanks everyone! I appreciate the suggestions. It's so hard to choose. I'll get A walk to remember, The Notebook, and The Rescue first. :D

message 11: by Stacy (new)

Stacy | 16 comments Oh good! I feel myself just trying to get through True Believer just to finish it, that hasn't happened with a Sparks novel in a long time. So i'm happy to hear that At First Sight is alot better!

message 12: by Brandie (new)

Brandie (brandiemichelle) I agree with Allison - True Believer took me FOREVER to finish - it's my least favorite of all NS books (and I hate even saying that!!). But At First Sight is way better. Definitely pick that one up!

Allison (theallisonnelson) | 31 comments Stacy, good luck getting through TB - you'll be happy you did when you get to AFS! I think I'm going to start The Choice pretty soon - I'll let you all know what I think!

Brandie, I just read The Guardian, I wanted to tell you cause I know you loved it - and I can see why! It was great that he added some suspense and mystery with his love story! It's definitely at the top of my list for Sparks books!

message 14: by Brandie (new)

Brandie (brandiemichelle) Allison - I'm so glad you enjoyed that one! It's my fav. :) I've been meaning to pick it up and read again - because it's been about 4 years since the last time I read it. But I just have too many others to get through. I'm reading Three Weeks with my Brother right now. I'm not much for non-fiction - but I've heard this one made the international best sellers list and is highly acclaimed! So I hope it doesn't disappoint! :)

Cassie (cassie_v2008) | 2 comments The new novel The Lucky One has been pretty good so far. It starts out kinda slow but continues to pick up and makes u want to continue reading.

message 16: by Allison (new)

Allison (theallisonnelson) | 31 comments Brandie, I have to hear about Three Weeks when you're done - I've been meaning to pick it up and try it but I just haven't yet!
