What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read this book a few years ago, it was in a high school library so I'm thinking it was YA.

I think she was riding in the car with her mom when the accident happened, she had extreme burns and described the different types and her treatment. But the detail that sticks with me is she was wearing frog earrings which melted in the car accident.
