I can't say I'm surprised, given Willis's track record, but I thought Blackout/All Clear was just terrible. I thought Dervish House should have won (though I, too, found it to be a slow read). In fact, I voted for Dervish House, Feed, and Cryoburn all ahead of the Blackout/All Clear.
No kidding! I did not finish Blackout and I loved Feed! Thought it was great. Have you guys read A Hundred Thousand Kingdoms? I heard it was very good but nobody is talking about it.
Have you guys read A Hundred Thousand Kingdoms?I thought it was alright, but I think the author still has some development to do before she writes anything really great. Fantasy isn't my first love, though, so there's that.
In case you missed it, the short story is available on the winners blog.http://www.maryrobinettekowal.com/jou...
I think it is good.

What do you guys think? I haven't read the winner maybe we should do it next? (Still in the middle of dervish house, which is good, but slow for me to read)
