What do you guys think? I haven't read the winner maybe we should do it next? (Still in the middle of dervish house, which is good, but slow for me to read)

G (gawm) | 12 comments I can't say I'm surprised, given Willis's track record, but I thought Blackout/All Clear was just terrible. I thought Dervish House should have won (though I, too, found it to be a slow read). In fact, I voted for Dervish House, Feed, and Cryoburn all ahead of the Blackout/All Clear.

Leigh (leighb) | 6 comments No kidding! I did not finish Blackout and I loved Feed! Thought it was great. Have you guys read A Hundred Thousand Kingdoms? I heard it was very good but nobody is talking about it.

I thought it was alright, but I think the author still has some development to do before she writes anything really great. Fantasy isn't my first love, though, so there's that.

I think it is good.

Leigh (leighb) | 6 comments I looked at A Hundred Thousand Kingdoms in the bookstore but did not purchase it. Honestly, the only one of the Hugo nominees that I really liked was Feed. My goodness, I could NOT put that book down!
