((Cool! Thanks :P I like almost rps that aren't realistic. Fantasy, superhumans, paranormal, etc are my favorites. But, I am open to anything. What are your preferences?))

((I probably won't be on until late tonight (11 or 11:30 EST), so we might miss each other. How about I give you some choices? Superhuman experiments escaping from their creators, pirates that travel through the galaxies, or a LOTR type fantasy with elves and dwarves and such? Any of those catch your interest?))

Name: Adele
Gender: female
Age: 17
Appearance: She stands at about 5'7 and has kind of a straight boyish build, fair skin. She has lean muscles from sword fighting and is pretty flexible. She has dark brown eyes and black hair, a thin nose and slightly full lips.


Personality: Adele is kind of quiet, keeps to herself. She mostly is just looking out for herself, but if you earn her trust, she will be loyal to you.

History: Ever since she was young, Adele yearned to travel across the skies. Born of the middle class, she got by with the basics, but always dreamed of high adventure, instead of the boring life her parents had planned for her. As an adolescent, she began sneaking out at night and going to some shady hangouts. She learned to fight on the street and became very good with knives. When she was fifteen, she heard rumors of a pirate ship nearby and signed up immediately, gladly leaving her family and boring life behind.

Rank: deck hand, grunt work

Ship: Black Diamond

Other: She doesn't go anywhere without her trusty laser sword and a few hidden daggers. Wouldn't ever admit it, but she misses her family sometimes and sends the occasional message home.

Gender: male
Age: 20
Appearance: Tall, about 6 foot 3. Dark brown hair that he keeps longer and shaggy, mischevious dark green eyes. He has a muscular build but isn't bulky.


Personality: Kind of strict and by the rules, likes to keep order.

History: He went to the academy to work for the government's agency in space but didn't like the way the politics were going. So he pulled out of school and joined the pirates. He has very strong beliefs and principles and doesn't bend them for anyone.

Other: It's really hard to gain his trust and respect. But once you have it, it's real easy to lose.

((Wasn't treasure planet in the future? We can do it that way and do it kind of steampunk style, like technology in the past, or we can do it like Star Trek style and be all spacy and techno. Which would you like to do? I don't have a preference))

Personality: Cautious, charitable, tries to find good in people.

History: Has been working as a slave in the space port on his home planet. He has been trying to find a way to escape for a long time. He comes across the Black Diamond and stows away.

Other: Is fairly accurate with most weapons, although he has never shot a gun in his life.))

Calvin was running behind some crates. He saw one heading for a ship called the Black Diamond, and hopped inside of it.

Adele growled under breath as she helped to move the shipments inside the ship. She had been with the ship for almost two years but was still a lowly lackey. "I deserve a promotion!" she glared at Liam for the umpteenth time of the day.


"Someday, someday," Liam sighed as he passed her. He checked to make sure the crates were being loaded correctly before moving up to the bridge.

Calvin felt his crate move. He knew he was being moved onto the ship.

Adele packed on the last crate then gave the all clear. The ship closed up and got ready for take off. Adele checked off the inventory, moving along the crates one by one.

Calvin felt a thump. He knew he was on the ship. There was no going back now.

When she was finished, Adele went up to her quarters to make sure all her things were in order for the journey.

((So is this going to be like a high tech ship, like in Star Trek?))

Calvin waited in his crate. He was getting thirsty.

When she finished up Adele went to the engine room to report for duty. Mostly she just went around doing what the chief engineer instructed her to do. It was mostly menial work, but Adele like the way the ship hummed and whistled at her as she worked.

Calvin couldn't taake it anymore. He was cramped, hot, thirsty, and hungry. He opened up the crate and walked around the ship, trying to find water, and look like he belonged.

Adele stopped someone who passed by to see if he would help herm ake a repair. "Hey, you free for a minute?"

"Uh, sure I guess" he said growing nervous.

She led him down a few corridors and stopped suddenly. She popped out a panel and started poking at the circutry. "You must be new. I'm Adele."

((sorry, I fell asleep :( ))

"I'm" he was trying to think of a fake name. "I'm Cabal."

((Lol, no problem. I actually went to bed like 5 mins after posting XP))

Adele nodded as she started to hand him cicuitry. "Nice to meet you Cabal. I'm sure you'll fit right in soon enough. This ship here's got a good crew."

"Thank you. So what do you need me to do."

"Help me take this to the cargo bay so we can work on it." She handed him some more panels before loading herself up with them. She headed off, nodding to other crew members as they went.

Calvin followed.

Once she got there, Adele laid out the componants and pulled out her sonic screwdriver and began to work on them. She looked up at him after a moment. "Do you know how to work these?" she asked, motioning to all the circuitry laid out on the floor.

"Yes" he said and dropped his stuff and got to work.

Adele smiled and kept on working on it.

Calvin decided to take a risk and ask, "So what is the purpose of this vessel?"

Adele raised an eyebrow as she looked at him before returning to her tinkering. "It's unwise to sign up on a ship without knowing her voyage. The Black Diamond is an expert trader. We travel across the skies, swapping cargo for profit."

"Oh" he said, unsure of what she meant.

Adele chuckled and looked up at him. "Sometimes what we trade is a little illegal."

"Like what?"

Adele shrugged. "Depends. Mostly it's merchants trying to evade taxes. So we take it, fudge a little on the paperwork, and do the deliver for them."

"Oh, ok."

Adele chuckled as she continued. "Do you regret signing on?"

"Uh...no" still unsure what he had gotten himself into.

Adele grinned as she finished up her hardware. "Well, good. It's a good ship. And even though we aren't always honest in our dealings, there's a lot of good people on board."

Calvin just continued working.

Adele watched him, satisfied with his work.
