Drama!
Well, in my youth group we practice skits and such to perform on stage. We learn the diagnostics of being on stage like don't turn your back to the audience and be really loud. It's super fun!
Oh ok. I might do well in it then cause I did plays at my church for five years. And that's kinda what they taught us.
I think I would like it if I wasn't so scared about getting up in front of people. And also I suck at memorizing lines... like, my memory is really bad. My mom says stuff to me and an hour later I don't remember it AT ALL. It's kinda creepy sometimes.
Haha! I hate it when that happens! Thankfully, most of what we do in my drama group is improv so we don't have to memorize very much. :)
It's where you don't have a script, you are given a certain scene, what character you are and what that character wants to accomplish and you play it right there on the spot. Say like the scene is the throne room in england and you are Queen Elizabeth and you want your son to bring you a piece of cake and he doesn't want to. Someone would play the son, someone Queen Elizabeth and they just kinda make up what happens on the spot while staying in character. It's a lot of fun.
Queen Susan the Gentle wrote: "I never heard of it. How do you play?"That is Improv. Improv freeze tag is taking that concept. Basically everyone sits in a circle, except two people who are doing an improv in the middle. Someone sitting in the circle says "Freeze". The improvers freeze. the person who called 'freeze' gets up and goes and taps one of the former improvers. The improver who was tapped, gets up and goes to sit in the vacated spot. the new improver takes up the posiction the former improver had been frozen in. then the improve begins totally anew, with a now plot, etc. At least until the next freeze.
Tis amazing
Oh!!!! Ok I heard one of the guys in my drama talking about improv freeze tag but I just didn't know what it was called. lol. :P Sounds fun...
Basket of Flowers
Really good. I've had my fair share of dissapointing Christian books but this I really loved. :)

Star of Light
It's an older book, but it's still REALLY good!

YEAH! IKR?!?!?! And yes, I LOVE blue flying pigs.
And Blue Flamingos. ;) Don't you, Lindsey!?! :D
Lindsey wrote: "BAHAHAHAHAHA!!! wow are you teasing me?? Of corse I love Blue Flamingo... XD"Maybe. ;D
I love Blue Flamingo too! xD
Keamy wrote: "We should do a group read...:)Oh hello everyone! :D"
Hey Keamy! :D and yes. I just need to think of some books and ( I know this sounds horrible. coming from the mod) but I don't really know how a group read fully works/..
Ha, it's all good there should be an option to start a group read...or how about we just open a thread to suggest books?Earliest we could start a group read now would be January anyway. :)
I have some suggestions that would be good for a christian book group...Dragons in Our Midst book one( raising dragons)
Oh okay. (: and @Mackenzie, my mom doesn't like those books for some reason. Hmm. I'll think about a book. I'll try to not think of something scary. Hehe, jk. ;)
Bethany Rose wrote: "Oh okay. (: and @Mackenzie, my mom doesn't like those books for some reason. Hmm. I'll think about a book. I'll try to not think of something scary. Hehe, jk. ;)"Bethany, you can tell your mom that dragon books don't always have to be un-Christian! On the contrary, one priest from Notre Dame Parish read my book (which involves dragons lol) and praised it for handling the moral conflict well, and described the main character as a Jesus figure who stands up against wickedness lol

Oh, my mom doesn't have any problems with dragons at all! Most of the books I read have dragons and mythical creatures. It was just that series. But I didn't really like the little bit that I read anyways. So it's not really a loose. ;) And I'll have to check out your book. :) But I'm still thinking about the group read...
Anyone have ideas?
I was thinking about Entwined, but I'm not sure how some of the people in the group would like the fairy-tale-ish magic...Oh and there's also boys in this group. So I'm not quite sure how they'd think about that. ;)

As for a group read, I usually read primarily fantasy, but I've heard that "The Shack" was a powerful Christian story, my church had the author over for a visit and I've heard a lot of praise for his book.
Yeah. I love fantasy. I'll be getting your book on amazon soon. It looks pretty good. :)How about The Door Within? It's really good. I think it would be a fun group read.
Thank you! Door Within does look like a good book, especially with those bonus chapters and all. And Paragory is just an awesome name for a villain haha. Makes me think of "Purgatory" lol.
Lol! It does! And I am very sorry for not being active in this group and not starting a group read. I am such a horrible mod. I'm not able to get The Door Within right now,. :\
So, I am really wanting to do this book for a group read: The Society. It's a teen fiction series that shows what goes on in the spiritual world. But I don't want anyone getting scared. (that happened to me when I read a fiction book on spiritual warfare for the first time haha) Although it's not nearly as scary as other books on the subject. I'll send everyone a message, but I'm still looking for other books, too. :)
So, HOW IS EVERYONE?! :D
And I will be more active here when I get my personal computer back, I promise! :)
