They arrived to her dorm, and as they walked in the shock of how plain the room was hit her. Earlier she didnt even look in here, for she just threw her bad in and left. She would have to do some arranging to the room to make it feel homey. She thought. She looked up at Darien.
"Thank you soo much for everything you've done for me. I couldnt thank you enough."

"No problem" he said looking around. "Looks like you need time to adjust" he said nicely. "Feel better."

She smiled.
"Thank you."
As soon as the door shut behind them she unflured her wing, and with a big swoosh the extended. She felt a little better. She hurried to the mirror to see if there was any serious damage done to her wing. Eventhough she hated being Neph. she wanted her wings to be fine, for one day she hopes to be able to fly. As she looked at herself in the mirror she couldnt help but notice how much her eyes matched her wings the violet linning at the egde of her wings were bright. She never really looked at herself in the mirror with her wings expanded before. She finally decided she liked it. She realized her wing was fine execpt there was some feathers missing at the top. Her stomach dropped, and she quickly retracted her wings and pushed the pain to the back of her head. She darted out the room at lighting speed. She had to get to the cemetary.

She arrived into her newly decorated room, and headed straight for the bathroom. She turned on the hot shower, and jumped in. The warm water felt amazing on her skin. Once she finished she wrapped a towel around her long hair as she put on a pair of skinny jeans, and a flannel button up shirt with a gray tank top underneath. She slipped on her old black high top converse, and brushed her messy hair.

Chloe stummbled into her room. Her eyes set on her guitar, so she walked over to it sat in a chair, and unzipped it from the case. She pulled it out, and grabbed a sheet of paper and a pen. She played a couple of her songs at first to warm up. Then she realized she wasnt in the mood to write, so she just kept playing her old songs. She loved her voice that was one thing about her that nobody could take away from her, and also a good stress reliever. She scotted closer to the bed, so she could stretch her legs out, and continued playing. It felt great to occupy herself with something that kept her mind off her promblems. As she was playing images of the past couple days with Darien had flooded her mind, and she smiled.

Chloes hands were tired. She needed something else to do since the whole inncident with her mother she hadnt gotten much sleep. Everytime she layed down horrid memories flooded her memory, so she just avoided sleeping. She remembered hearing about a pool on campus, a midnight swim sounded kind of pleasant. She rushed over to her dresser, and pulled out her black and white billabong bikini. She put it on, and pulled a tank top on, mini skirt, and some flip flops. She went into the bathroom grabbed a towel, and headed to find the pool.

Chloe walked into the bathroom and started the shower. She turned it on as hot as it would go, and the steam was filling the bathroom. It felt nice. She jumped in the shower, and let the hot water run down her hair as she felt her muscles relaxed she had been up for over 24 hours, and she wasnt tired. She didnt want to sleep, and have reoccuring nightmares of her mothers death. She got out of the shower she put black leggings on with big black and yellow skate shoes, and a black tank top. It was warm outside, and she needed to practice her flying. She flinched... maybe I should bring a helmet she mocked herself, and headed for the door.

Chloe took a hot shower, and put on her skinny jeans, tank top, and some skate shoes. She looked at her converse sneakers. They were wet. She decided to straighen her hair she was bored, and had nothing better to do. Once she was done she layed on her bed, and grabbed a book and sunk herself into another world.

By the time Chloe got into her room she was exhausted. It seemed that she never slept anymore. She went into her dresser, and changed into an old tank top and a pair of boy shorts. She picked up a book, and slipped underneath her covers. She started reading, and fell asleep with the book in her hands.

Darien carried her through the hallways, when he got to her dorm, he shifted her onto one hand and opened the door with the other. He looked around before stepping in. He took her to her bed and laid her gently down. He grabbed the blanket tucked her underneath it.

She opened her eyes slightly, and smiled. She didnt want to be alone, and she didnt want him to leave. "Dont go."

He smiled down at her and mouthed okay. He crawled into the bed with her and waited for her to fall back to sleep. He laid with his head against the headboard as she was on her side on the pillow. He yawned. He was tired himself but he continued to wait. Her breathing hadn't dropped yet as a signal of deep sleep. Instead of her falling asleep, he did. His body slumped against the headboard. The shift in the bed caused Chloe to move too. She unconsciously re-positioned herself using his chest as her pillow. Both of them asleep past they intended to.

Darien woke. He looked down on his chest and found her sleeping there, his arm wrapped around her back. He squinted at the clock across the room. They both missed the first block of the day. He laid there calmly although the situation was far too familiar for him. Too real. He quietly debated whether to take some time off from this, take a step back. Problem is he didn't want to. One of the biggest issues the Fallen had faced. The world has faced. The same story told over and over. Endlessly through time. The things you want and the things you know aren't yours to take. "Though shalt not convet" Darien whispered to himself. To want things, rights, privledges, life that isn't yours. That the Lord never wished you to have. Darien played with the tips of her hair absentmindedly as he thought. He planned to get up and leave soon, go take a shower, get ready, and---- he fell asleep halfway through his planning. His mind went blank, body slack, and heart free.

Chloe woke up to the fresh scent of Darien, and she smiled before opening her eyes. She peaked out of one eye to see if he was still sleeping she didnt want to wake him, but she wanted to change out of yesterdays clothes. Hewas asleep so she quitely got up, and grabbed a pair of clothes to change into and walked into the bathroom.

Darien turned in his sleep. It was black. Someone's face came into sight. "You!?" Darien called in his dream. The figure gave an evil smile. Darien shivered. He had trusted them.... "Why?" he called to the figure as it retreated to the darkness. "Because you deserve it." came the sheer voice. Darien was torn.

Chloe came out of the bathroom dresses, and noticed Darien acting werid in his sleep. She jumped on the bed, and shook him gently. "Darien...Darien....Are you okay?"

Darien's eyes shot open. They were slited and golden. The room focused and Chloe's face came into focus. Darien blinked the color away. His eyes returned to their greenish tint. "What--wha" he said out loud. He tried to recall the face in his dream but all he could see is a dark figure. "Who?"

Chloe looked down at him confused. "What? Are you okay?" She was sitting up next to him on the bed, and she started scartching his head.

"Uhm, er" Darien said. He regained himself. "Yeah, thank you."

Chloe wasnt dumb she knew something was wrong, but she didnt want to force anything out of him if he didnt want to say something, so she just smiled. "good"

"Man," he yawned. "We skipped a whole day" remembering when he woke up and noticed they missed the first block

Chloe shrugged. "I know. I realized it was late when i woke up, but i didnt want to wake you."

"Thanks" he sat up and stretched.

she smiled. "no problem. I really have to run, and go get my make up work... Ive been skipping alot." She shrugged. "your welcome to stay."

"It's fine. I'll go." He got up and cracked his neck out of habit. He grabbed his dead cell phone off the nightstand. "Have fun, be careful" he said as he kissed her forehead

She smiled as Darien kissed her forehead. "Thanks I will be.

Julius looked over to her open door, "Your welcome" he said distracted.

She got under her covers without taking her wings from her face once the covers where over her head she retracted her wings. She took just one arm out from underneath the covers to reach for a tissue on the nightstand.

"Uhmmm..." Julius said getting up, he didn't know what to do. He knew Darien was going to come talk to her. But now might not be the best time. He walked over to the nightstand and handed her the box of tissues. "Take care" he said and patted her forehead. He walked outside the room. He had thought he closed the door all the way.

Chloe sniffled "thanks. night."

Chloe sat up when she heard Dariens voice. She heard Julius and Darien talking she was trying to listen in. She got acouple sentences, but she didnt completely understand. She rubbed her eyes then the voices faded. She opened her drawer, and pulled out a cookie n cream chocolate bar. Drunk munchies she thought.

Darien opened the door slowly. He saw her sitting one her bed eating a chocolate bar. This is going to be bad he knew it but he continued. "Chloe?" he said softly and entered her room.

Chloe slowely looked up, but she didnt have to know who it was. "How DARE you come in my room. Dont you have someone better to be doing." She went to stand, but realized she was dizzy, and still highly intoxicated she didnt want to fall. She just pointed at the door. "Out Darien."

"Let me explain." he said determined, making no more further advances.

"I really dont feel like hearing your excuses" she spat at him.

"What excuses? I have done nothing wrong. I have done nothing." he took a step forward and froze.

"What is it that you think I have done?"

"Dont play stupid Darien." she made eye contact with him.

"Okay... I know what you think. I just don't understand why. Let me rephrase my last question. Why do you think I have done something wrong? Because Zeke told you? Told you what? That there was a mysterious girl in my room. One he doesn't know at all, or her motives." Darien walked over to her now and stood in front of her. He made no attempts to touch her, he just wanted to see himself. The pain Kathryn inflicted. He wanted to see her eyes when he spoke to her.
