VRE2011 discussion

My middle school students really enjoy reading Science Fiction, and I am always looking for recommendations. Any good suggestions? Some titles that I can't keep on the shelf lately: Hunger Games, The Galahad Series (Comet's Curse is the first one), the Kingdom Keepers, anything by Anthony Horowitz, Margaret Peterson Haddix or James Patterson (the middle school books). I welcome any suggestions! :-)

Hate to sound like I am tooting my own horn, but what about The Line, and the next, Away? There is a 35 page, free curriculum guide on www.terihall.com, and I have had wonderful feedback from middle grade teachers (especially about biys reading them). Have done some really fun classroom Skypes and visits.
