Jessa (jessa1983) Please nominate the books you would like to read as a group in December. To nominate, please use the add book/author link to add the cover and/or title of the book you most want to read. Please limit it to TWO nominations per person. You may second/third/etc a book if someone has already chosen the book you were interested in :) as one or both of your nominations :)!

We will post nominations here until Nov. 23rd and then a poll will be up until Nov. 28th for us to vote on what book we would like to read as a group. We will start reading the book with the most votes on Dec. 1st and possibly the book with the second highest number of votes on Dec. 16th :)!! So nominate the books you most want to read and we will have group discussions on here as we read through it!

Jessa (jessa1983) I would like to nominate these two books. I have not read either, but I have heard great things about both. I love that Looks isn't focused on eating disorders necessarily, but how food is used to hide what we really feel or need to say (or at least this is what I have gathered from reviews). I think it would be a great book to stir up some interesting group discussions! The second book was suggested to me by Bekah (thank you) and I think it looks like it would be a great look at what our ED does to those around us!

Nomination 1:
Looks by Madeleine George Looks

Nomination 2:
Brave Girl Eating by Harriet Brown Brave Girl Eating

Agreed - good question! How about we will get it narrowed down to the 3 with the most votes and then everyone can see which ones they are able to have available to them and whichever all of us can find, we will go with? Because I don't want anyone to be left out ;)!! I know the library doesn't always have them all, so we will see how it goes :) I usually just buy them for the Kindle app if they are a reasonable price, otherwise I search at like Half Price books, etc. I think out of the top 3 though that at least 1 of them should be available to all of us to find :)! If anyone has any other ideas, though, let me know!!

I'm sorry! I hope we can find a way! Maybe if the books are cheap enough as an ebook (I don't have a kindle, but the kindle app is free, so I can read kindle books on my PC, my Blackberry phone and my iPad), I can get it for you, we'll see!!

Perfect girls starving daughters (as I have that one)

and

Brave girl eating (which I have already read)"

Thanks Charlotte for the heads up!!

I am going to extend the date of the poll for a few more days so more people can vote, but I would like to have a book decided by Monday. It DOES look like Brave Girl Eating is in the lead :) I don't have it yet, but I can get it for kindle on Monday if that is what is decided on. Thank you for your input <3
